First off, Mods of this forum, if this post should be in the RTTS Feature Premiere thread my apologies and feel free to move it there instead but I'd rather you leave it as a single post.

This might be a text-wall but I'll try and keep it simple.

I just want to offer my reasons for not buying this year, and having "permissions" to speak for 9 of my friends who also are not buying and friends of them who are not sure yet if they will either, let's go:

I am going to come right out and say this: way too much time and resources went into The Negro Leagues thing. Before you freak out calling me you know what (I am not, fyi) having seen today what insane little amount of time that went into RTTS heck even the Stream itself was short and the reactions thereafter I can only come to the conclusion that my first favorite mode Franchise (RTTS is second) will offer very little new and exciting in the features department as well. At least NOTHING to fork over 70 of my hard worked currency exchanged equivalent dollars for. At this point Face Scan will be fun for 3 weeks and 4 days when we've seen it all and done it all, RTTS show; basically the same, Franchise I dread is the same with minor to no changes explain to us why we should buy a roster update that is free on The Show 22 come opening day?

So I guess my main beef is that whole DD thing again getting all the spotlight because that is a way your company can bring in even more money after asking a pretty steep price. Remember that a TON of players only play RTTS & Franchise and I am surprised you guys don't have the numbers on that!? Or maybe you do, but know streamers stream DD and inspire people to buy currency and packs and hence the rich get richer and that matters the most?

I do NOT like the direction this game is headed and I would not be surprised if this year you guys will, how you say, take one on the nose as far as sales go.

I was super excited to hear that The Show 23 was being worked on and what is new this year then it just all went downhill from there the more I learned about its development and priorities and I see I am not the only one thinking this.

I am not saying that The Negro League thing is not important, I am just saying that the priorities that went into this game THIS year where not good.

It's a shame but at least I can still enjoy playing 22 with my friends and only hope that 24 turns out better. You should honor your paying customers more and listen to the community instead of listening to the political mess of a world we have today. Politics should NOT be a part of ANY sport, period. It is good to honor those that shall be honored, but there is not a V-E month it is a day long event. You do everything you can to make a point and look like Johnny GoodBoy at the cost of your essence and your development. I guess a few devs didn't dare speak up either at your meetings, just a hunch, that said:

I think his point was that for the Deluxe edition there are other, you know American born players, that has done quite well in this sport called Baseball that would make more sense to have on the cover besides licking Ohtani’s crack for both covers.

Seems like all the upgrades went into DD, again.
At this point ‘22 seems like a The Show 21.5, but for the love of God prove me wrong in dev videos leading up to the release. If they’ve done minimal to RTTS and Franchise for ‘22 then I’m tucking my money right back into my wallet.

I got issues, correct. Mental health problems. Laugh all you want, couldn’t care less. But when I pay 100$ for a video game I want to enjoy it and have fun. Why am I punished by the game, when I do everything right according to how the game plays by intent? How come I keep losing games on rookie yet I have perfect frame-by-frame PCI placement on the ball, and I strike the ball with almost perfect timing every time - why am I being punished by the game for doing good?? Punish me when I swing at pitches outside the zone - good. Punish me when I try to steal - Even better! Punish me when I throw bad pitches - The way it should be. But ffs, award players for doing good why don’t you SDS? I’m out. God bless. ️

Zone hitting with Strike Zone view. Make sure your TV is in game mode ?

Man, I've tried that EXACT sequence. Zone is the best for me currently but NOTHING is consistent. I've gone through all the camera angles.
Why is it that I have the zone hitting marker directly over the ball location when it comes through the strike zone, swing perfectly (timing) and still miss?!?!?! It's maddening...

The main thing he mentioned was make sure TV was in gaming mode. Or if you play on a monitor some monitors have a gaming mode too. I have had my TV go out of game mode before and I tried to play and it is night and day difference.

Also if you havent played the game before you will have to practice some. Arent gonna pick it up and be good in a week.

I've played every baseball game I could get my hands on since RBI Baseball (Nintendo) waaaay back in the 80's, I'm 37. I've NEVER had issues hitting till this game, on any baseball game I have EVER played. The zone hitting is exactly like Ken Griffey Jr. in 1998, which I loved, but it's [censored] near impossible now.
I get the fact I'm old, but I still have perfect eye sight .

Same here, in the process of refunding. Something is wrong with the Xbox ports. I’m guessing you’re on XOne too? I don’t want to pay 100$ and lose every game on Rookie with Perfect-Perfect swings 70% of the time and perfect PCI placement. Should have skipped on this, first-time releases usually sucks and ports from PS systems even more.

Zone hitting - one of the 3 best views - PERFECT, (i’d like you to read that again), PERFECT PCI alignment - MOST of the TIME I’m in the green when hitting and every single time the outfield either catches it or its foul. There is something in the coding or port to Xbox One that is not right, I have lost almost every game so far! Is that fudging fun for a game I paid 100$ for?? Not easy, but doable. I’m in EU too and 6am sounds about right here. I’m actually setting my alarm clock to 5.30am. Enough time to shower, grab some breakfast (scratch that) some beers and boot up The Show 21. I try to pass time by watching ballgames, keeping scorecards, watching retro games, watching TV series just about anything I can do to pass time and forget about TS 21, but it keeps hitting me... oh the show is here soon, life is gonna be good. The A’s are on a winning streak and my depression from their rocky start has liftet. I’m so happy we get the game for Xbox.

Is the full game clocking in at about 50gb? If so, I’m good too. But I hear some people downloaded closer to 75gb. Xbox One user here, no game pass.

Personally I would return one copy, get a gift card and use that gift card to buy more stubs.

What matters more, them fish gets to live a week longer

I just installed right under 50gb on Xbox One. I guess this is the preorder base of the game? Oh, btw, is the release on the 16th at midnight?

I preordered the minute it was announced on Twitter. I have been a baseball fan for years, but not long enough to enjoy a good baseball game on either PC or Xbox. When I heard The Show was coming for Xbox I was like take my money.

I have played the NHL series for years and their Hockey Ultimate Team and what I loved about HUT was that you could earn stuff (packs, currency) offline in tournaments and VS CPU too. I, personally, will not spend so much time in DD that I even get on a top 50 stats list. I was under the impression that in DD your awards would mostly come from online play VS others, but I know we will get rewards and packs in offline tournaments too. I don’t recall where I saw it, but from my understanding you can get good rewards and Stubs in offline mode and tournaments too.

In my opinion you get really good preorder bonuses so I say if you can shell out the $ go for it, if you don’t like their DD or the game in general I think you can get a full refund.
