I’ve also noticed that the text in Franchise Mode now uses gender neutral pronouns (they instead of he/she).
Surely it’s not too difficult to substitute “she” for “he” into the text when a female player is detected.

I've always wanted them to have an option where it takes the current (real world) weather conditions at the ground you are playing at and use it for the game you are playing. i.e. if it's raining at Yankee Stadium for real, it's also raining in the game.

It's not like the game doesn't have internet connectivity that could easily pull that data.

The optimist in me suggests it is SDS trying to create interest in the Japanese market with a view to having the NPB (and Japanese commentators) in the game (which would be pretty cool).

The realist in me suggests it is more likely a new writer spoke to his 8 year old and used his suggestions.

I play on PS5 and also can’t access the survey.

Unsure whether it’s because I’m not in the US (can’t see how where I live would affect a survey), or because I don’t have PS Plus (I still play DD, just not the online parts).

Maybe something has changed, but I would have thought of a 2-way player is both pitching and batting, he would be listed in the batting line-up as a P rather than a DH.

Is there a reason why the Wind Speed and Direction no longer appears on screen during a Franchise game?

The only way to tell now it to either look at the flags (where there are flags), not particularly accurate or go into the Game Log and scroll down to the start of game stats.

Re weather, I’ve been wishing for a live weather option for a few years now.

Eg, if you play a game at Yankee Stadium, it pulls the current weather condition at the real ground and imports them into your game.

In online play, doesn’t the pitcher automatically pitch if there’s no response?

Also I would hope they’ve reduce the amount of time a player can spend in the menus during a game. 3 mins is far too long to bring in a new pitcher or batter.

And the servers will crash at 12:01am!

@Quiliux Where in the UK are you? I'm in Birmingham. Happy to meet up if you are close by and have a chat and explain some of the quirks.

I wouldn't recommend pre-ordering until they announce what you will or wont be getting for your cash.

Seems silly to buy something without knowing fully what you are going to get.

You can always buy the game the night before the early access starts.

Also, it is possible for a player to be ejected, although terribly unrealistic.

Just keep having the pitcher hit the batter. He'll be warned and eventually thrown out.

Not quite the same as the Manager being thrown out though.

I just had a Rain Delay (30 mins) in a Franchise game. They are still there, but they don't seem to happen as often as they used to.

Noobs are the ones that buy/sell my cards at the Quick Sale price. I like them!

When Cleveland are batting at Progressive Field, I hear the crowd noise has what sounds like stereotypical Indian drumming.

Do the Guardians crowds still do this? Or should it have been removed from the game with the name change?

When I start a new Franchise game, I get the usual screens to change the pitcher and then the batting order.

What I find odd is that only 8 players appear on screen. You have to scroll down to see who the 9th is.

This would be kinda ok if the pitcher was the 9th batter, but with a DH, that 9th player will be a position player/DH.

Devs: Is there any chance of altering that screen so the full 9-man initial batting order is shown?
