Surely this wasn't a rule that MLB The Show enforced in the game.
That is, if you traded a bearded player to the Yankees, his beard has always remained hasn't it?

If you can, just start the stream, mute the volume and let it run whilst you do something else. I rarely actually watch the stream. I just let it run for the packs.

I'm having this happen in Conquest after attempting to replace my pitcher in the 2nd or 3rd inning. Stats aren't saved and the result is treated as a loss after I force quit the entire game.
-
Isn’t your team’s performance partly linked to crowd size?
-
I can't seem to drop an image here, but I've uploaded a pic of the outfield at T-Mobile Park.
This is just awful to see whilst playing!

Regarding the blurry sponsors, I've noticed this when pitching at Dodgers Stadium in Franchise, there are 2 sets of dodgers.com branding behind slightly to the right of the catcher. The one closest to the catcher is clear, the other is blurry. Never in a replay though, only when actually pitching.
The rotating sponsor boards are sometimes blurry. Kinda as if it is being downloaded live and the full image hadn't come through yet.

I’m guessing there are 2 types of audio files in the database.
One would be for higher profile players who have their name recorded separately. Therefore you could have Babe Ruth, but not Babe and Ruth as separate first/surnames.
The other would be for everyone else where first and surnames are recorded separately and stitched together in the commentary.
Hence, if a player has his name recorded separately, you won’t be able to use either of his names in a different player.
My opinion is we are probably 2-3 years away from an AI commentary option where this issue would go away (but many names would be mispronounced)

If you go into the area of RTTS where you create a player, jump to the section Motions & Sounds: Batting Stance, you will have a wide selection of former players to choose from.
I would almost certainly guess that all of these players will progressively be introduced to the game throughout the year.
Pitchers are then on the next screen. -
@RealPudgyPanda_MLBTS That worked! Thanks for the tip!

@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN I guess if I want to insult someone now, I just call him an “Allen”?

I probably do. I mostly imported my settings from last year.
Just looked at my screenshots of last year’s settings and now recall changing that setting. I’ll change it back when I get home.

I’m sure someone posted about this, but I can’t seem to find it.
I’ve noticed that when I’m on base and also running, the speed attributes aren’t showing up. This means if I’m running to 2nd, I can’t judge whether to keep going to 3rd or stop at 2nd (I might run if the runners speed is 99, probably wouldn’t if he’s only 50).
It only seems to happen to my players. The CPU runners show up fine.

Easiest way to test this is to play a classic game and have your pitcher deliberately hit batters. You’ll get a warning at first and after a couple more your pitcher will be ejected.
You can continue this until you get down to your last pitcher. At this stage the game continues, but the ejections stop (unless they’ve added a forfeit option this year).
Never tried this in Franchise or online though.
Also never seen a fielder or batter be ejected. Not really sure how they could within the constraints of the game.

Servers appear to be down. Seems to happen every year.
It’s the main reason why I don’t pay extra to become effectively a paying beta tester.
-
Can any of the beta testers... I mean Early Access players... give an update on what SDS decided to do with the A's & Rays Stadiums?
-
It'll muck up the dates for Spring Training/Regular Season though.
You'll end Spring Training on March 25th, start Regular Season and be taken back (if you've chosen a team in Japan) to March 18 with a week or so gap after those games. So the games will be there, but there will be no recognition that they are playing in Japan.

Mine downloaded last night on PS5.
And tonight an update file V1.002 I think downloaded. Bugs before it's even released!
-
@PAinPA_PSN I’ll probably buy it a few days before the release to get the early download. Certainly not 6 weeks out though.
Not that the download time is an issue when I have a 1Gb/sec connection
-
I’ve noticed that only the Deluxe version has early access.
Apart from a few card sets that I’ll probably collect throughout the season anyway, what is the benefit to me preordering the Standard version in return for SDS receiving my cash 6 weeks early?
-
I’m curious to see what they do with the A’s and Rays.
Will we get their actual grounds this year or one of the generic minor league grounds?
