haha Yeah, I've given up trying to do those silly things. Get a get a Hold in RS with a bronze. lol I actually tried that one a few times with disastrous results. Pitch a complete game with a scrub online? yeah ok.

I am one of those guys that put in a million dollar bid. I have been trying to buy Billy Wagner for weeks now. There is just a limited supply. I would actually buy him for 2 million if I could.

Your theory of proxy bids to stash a million makes no sense because you get hit with a 10% tax. No one would do what you're suggesting because they would be losing 100K. The guys that have millions didn't get their millions by being stupid.

The true answer is that people have money and they want Wagner. I literally have everyone else and I'm bored. I have 5 million in stubbs. Why not?

Yeah what is the deal with that? I hit pretty good early in the season with the 87 Mantle now I have the 99 and can't hit for chit.

I think it's three reasons:

1. You're super excited you finally have The Mick so you're swinging at everything. Then you realize you're not hitting so now you're pressing. Opposing pitchers tend to be more cautious pitching to Mantle so patience is paramount.

2. Mick doesn't have a leg kick or a big load to help with timing while the majority of the other players do.

3. Initially, I had slotted Mantle second in the lineup order but he was taking too many strikes as I tried to concentrate to steal a base with 99 Jackie. Then when the base was stolen, now there's an open base and the pitcher nibbles at the corners. This compounds the hitting difficulty.

How do you fix this?

1. Bat Mantle leadoff. This will help you be more patient, get better pitches, etc. This will also help with the leg load issue because he will be the first batter you use. I set my lineup so that there is a gradual build-up of leg loads. This also prevents pitchers from nibbling as no one wants to walk the leadoff batter. Eventually, you break out of your slump and realize that Mantle is truly the GOAT. Now you can move him out of the leadoff spot if you desire ( but don't bat him second because of the reasons aforementioned).

Guys, you need them. All of them. (Go to collections and then click on Monthly. You'll see them there. )

The collections will most likely unlock a monster Tatis card with 125 power. If Tatis's attributes aren't that much better than Bo, then the monthly cards will tank. If Tatis has something like 110/125 power, which I'm assuming will be the case, then the cards will rise. Most people don't know about the collections and have been selling the cards. That's a mistake.

I agree that Alomar is definitely not worth the Stubbs, but Trout is definitely not free! lol. Cost me around 600K to collect everything. Now it's around 425K for Trout collection.

I haven’t paid a red cent extra in this game other than the 60 bucks I initially dropped to buy the game and have Trout. When I say free I mean real money investment.

That wasn't clear because you mentioned Trout being free in the same sentence as saying Alomar was too expensive: "There is no way he is worth 700k, the only card in this game worth that much might be Ruth or MVP Trout and both those cards can be had for free. "

You had to go there right? Lol. I know he’s the best, but any other options with less of a grind? I think I’ve only completed like 13 missions in his program.

I think the grind actually makes you a better player in the long run. I had never played CPU on Hall of Fame and now I can do Legend with ease. Do it. It's worth it.

Cobb’s swing as always generated power. Even his (91) would hit HRs.

This is the best inning boss this year in my opinion. Hopefully next inning we get Willie Mays.

Well done SDS. This is why you’re different than 2K. 2k would have made people spend a week’s pay to get a card of this caliber.

I was waiting for a review on him...thanks. I'm envisioning him as my lead off hitter sort of like Rickey Henderson was with the As. Can hit, can hit for power and anything in the gap is a guaranteed double or triple.

You can test him out in Showdown before you commit. He has a big bat waggle but he's legit.

Seriously! 300K for Tatis PLUS a LOOOOONNNG Grind. Ridiculous. Especially when I can just get Bo Bichette for under 10K. Or Royce Lewis for under 40K, or Ernie Banks for under 70K. SMH. The long grind kills me.

Quicksell duplicates through your inventory. You don't get taxed that way and you can sell your entire inventory all at once. Super easy and convenient. It only works if your silvers turn gold, your golds turn diamond,etc.

The new Topps Now cards won't affect old Topps Now cards at all. Most people are collecting the Topps Now cards for the Trout collection. Very few people know that you will also need them to collect the new lightning card in a couple of weeks, which will likely be a monster Tatis card (go to Collections, then go to Monthly; you will see it there). Prices will go up when that is announced. Having said that, prices are higher now with the stub sale so you can sell them now or wait until SDS announces the new lightning card. Up to you.

Babe is all you need. He rakes lefties too. I usually stink at same hand pitchers but Babe has given me same splits. The long grind for Babe is absolutely worth it.

TBH, I think Belinger is obsolete at this stage. I've used HRD Alonso, and I like his leg lift for extra timing purposes but the Babe is on a whole another level.

I've been using Konerko Affinity card and it's ok. Anyone less than 100K at first you'd recommend.

Killebrew, Thome, or Gorman for cheap first baseman. But Babe is free and he's the best so commit to the grind!

I took Posey. He is the only one that I can use in my current lineup. I like his bat (especially against lefties) and defense. All the other choices have much better options at their positions ( Reggie in the outfield never makes your starting lineup, etc).
