For me, it has to be the commentary. It seems like there's a complete disconnect between the commentary and what is actually happening in the game. A lazy fly ball to shallow RF is called a fly ball to the wall, and a line drive to the left-center field gap is always called a hit down the line. It also seems like it's all the same lines every game and we're barely 3 weeks past early access.

I agree that this year is a huge regression. My favorite part of this game used to be the collections - collections that helped progress through programs/innings/whatever SDS called it that year, a collection for each card series, the mega collections, etc. My entire motivation for playing the game was to complete every collection and get as many cards as possible. This year they stripped all that out for one mega series for every set. 2 seasons into the game and it takes 5.6 million stubs to complete both set 1 and 2 collections with cards at quick sell value. (Yes, I know there's a lot of cards that are free, but there are almost no cards at quick sell value either.) I like the challenge of working for the collections, but the motivation for the mindless grind just isn't there when you don't see a path to completion. I'm hoping that a week break for vacation is all I need, but I guess only time will tell.

There's nothing that says you have to finish the program if you don't want to play the modes. I accepted that the Egg Hunt Program won't be completed because I have no interest in playing online.

I think you may need to change the way of saying at it. Instead of saying you have 1/50 chance of pulling you'll get a diamond, try looking at it as each pack has a 2% chance of containing a diamond.

I wouldn't be surprised if SDS started planting Set 1 packs everywhere once Season 2 begins. Like they always start throwing packs around when the shark map drops.
-
Has SDS teased anything about the Season 1 Recap Program? It'd be nice if it was just loaded with all the 40K packs they released throughout Season 1 and XP to help everyone complete the Season before it ends.

Another season award program for players we can use for a week and a new conquest map tomorrow according to the schedule.

I'm starting to come around on this program. I had been on the side that wanted realism, but this is an interesting way to get people to know more about the players. A lot of these players were recruited by college or drafted / signed for playing these positions. Plus, they have been releasing Topps Now cards for position players who pitched for the last couple years.

The option to exclude non-sellable cards when filtering for duplicates. After all the repeated non-sellable cards in the final chapter, it's a pain to try to get to only the sellable cards

@wkward83_PSN The Spring Breakout Showdown needs to be done 4 times to get all the cards from the choice pack to complete the collection.

I can take-or-leave Showdown. As an offline player, it's sometimes a nice change of pace, but I will do a Showdown any day if it means I don't have to grind out 600 pxp for 5 different RPs. Grinding 600 pxp for RPs has to be the most tedious mission.
-
Does anyone else think that the missions this week - legends, 1st basemen, 3rd basemen, and center fielders - may be foreshadowing the set 2 rewards? Maybe some players like Frank Thomas, Mike Schmidt, and Mays.

Agreed, but it always seems like Mini Seasons difficulty plays a level higher compared to Conquest to begin with.

I've read a lot of people saying Bautista was difficult so I waited to do the East Showdown until I was done with the other 2. Fortunately, I was able to get through it the first time. When it comes to Showdowns, I stack the 2 highest "Hero Time" (exit velocity boost in the 7th inning or later - the entire showdown) and 1 "Wake Up" (exit velocity boost after 3 consecutive outs) perks I have as quickly as I can.
It sounds like the Showdown against Bautista is in your head now. I'd try to step back from it and bang out some other challenges. Try to train your eye on the line above the bottom third of the strike when facing him. If a pitch starts below it, don't even think about swinging unless you already have 2 strikes. I waited him out and he hung a splitter to Boggs that just made it over the fence. Another suggestion I have is if you haven't already done the AL and NL East Moments; do those, keep the cards that play well for you in mind, and draft them or pick them up as you can.

Am I the only one who thinks it's funny that the offer is based off a billboard with 6 players on it, and the reward isn't one of them?
-
Don't forget that 8000 xp and 2500 stubs are hidden behind the online modes in the Egg Hunt Program.
-
I assume at some point there will be a CORE set collection that this will help as well. I would think the cards will be even more expensive then.
-
I assume they're starting the holiday weekend early so everything is today.

They aren't being enshrined until next summer. I assume they won't get the boost in 24. It'll more likely be a program in 25
