40k people in a cheating discord that is pretty expensive. Not a small number and likely not the only place to get that one. The other device you can get at Walmart and GameStop (another showing of greed over integrity) for what $100. EVERY online game is littered with cheats. Yet a game that most legit people (I say this because I think the majority of people above 900 are not legit) find difficult to pitch and hit doesn't have them? People just need some common sense. Seems to be quite lacking these days.
While that's a disgusting number, I heard that wasn't all for MLB The Show. I also don't take anything that Kyle guy says seriously because he's super toxic and just spews garbage.
TBH, I didn't know there was a $100 device you could plug in, but even still, I don't understand the point. Aren't people playing this game to have fun? What's the fun in not actually playing the game or cheating? I don't get it.
It's hard for me to think that most people over 900 are not legit. I probably would be a 900 player if I actually tried to get there, but I don't want to play on Legend, so I stop before that. And I'm old and don't consider myself to be amazing at the game.
Now I will say this. While I don't think, or at least haven't assumed, that I've played cheaters this year, I do have these weird games where someone kind of stinks at hitting, but they mostly shut me down. I usually just assume I'm slumping or something. Then I score a bunch of runs the next game and blame it on RNG, my old eyes, or whatever else.
I'm really not sure. It also might be me assuming that if you cheat, you're a horrible piece of garbage, and even though I've seen plenty of this community on X prove that point, I still hate to believe it while I'm actually in a H2H game.
Connections vary game to game. At least for me and I am on wired fiber internet. It has done this on PS5 and Series X. I truly don't know how people get constant connections in this game. I played ball at a high level so maybe I see things other people don't. There are seasons on this game I don't hit as good as I did in A ball which completely baffles me. Lately the pitches have looked like they are 120 mph and I wonder how on earth people are hitting .450 on legend. I can watch a streamer play legend and it looks like slow pitch softball compared to what I see on all star. Someone posted a response about it but even if I am just watching and not swinging, it looks way faster on my screen. Being a former high level baseball player, seeing and reading the pitches shouldn't be an issue but it is a lot of time. Being my age, I understand and have zero problem if my reactions are a little slow. That being said though the games I'm seeing lately I couldn't hit when I was 21.
All online games are infested. That is just a fact no one can dispute and it's been this way for a decade. Lucky for us, I never suspected people of cheating in this game until last year. People do it for different reasons. Make friends online by appearing better than they really are, tired of thinking they are getting cheated on, not being able to perform like they want in their favorite game, frustrate opponents, stick it to the game devs, etc.
