So I created a player to use in franchise mode. I have all settings for my franchise as Auto (lineups and all). Using the player lock mode, noticed that it plays the lineup every day even if a player has no energy left. There is no option to fix lineup when you use player lock mode.

The R2 on player if I go into play full game game to player lock only works if you are playing a home game for me because I am lead off and no way to do that when you start the game up at bat.

Any other way around this?

I know they don't care about franchise. But this is pretty dumb non feature to not be able to set up lineups before player lock mode screen like how quick sim or manage mode has. I could care less about uniforms.

Just started a catcher in rtts. Half way thru the season, got called up to AAA. Since we can't start all over so yeah like 90 overall.. pretty dumb.. anyways I've noticed there is no random pitch calling so far.. and every play I get is a bunt I barely get to. Or a pop up right in front of me 99 percent of the time. No more foul ball pop up, or behind me. Does it stay like this all the time? If so, deleted catcher cause that is so unrealistic.

Yeah in 19, I used to play like 4 positions. Was fun. Now you are stuck at one . Not realistic at all. It all got butchered from 2way player

All I want for next year's game:

RTTS multiple ball players that start with a clean slate with each newly created one. I want to be able to have a 2 way player, a pitcher, an outfielder, a catcher.. who all start at the bottom 30 skills, not be 99 of everything on day 1. Where they all can be different builds and different characters that look different!

What happens when I retire? Start an 18yr that is fully maxed?! How is that fun?

I only play RTTS. If next year is tied with DD and have to be online to play, first time not buying this game in many years.

Also, does anyone even use their "ball player" on their DD teams? I think this was a total flop being a money grab decision.

Note: I never and will never spend money on stubs, micro transactions. They are such a rip -off as well as buying downloaded games. Can never get some money back unlike hard copy I buy

I do like the gameple itself in RTTS though and those improvements. Except the ball bounce. Every landed fly ball in right or left center is either caught or bounces over wall for a ground rule double.

Also eyewear and batting gloves need to be fixed still broken lol

Just leave.. don't announce you're leaving. Nobody would possibly care.. plus, it's basically a guarantee you aren't actually leaving if you feel the need to announce it.

Except if enough people voice their opinion about something, (which most probably agree on reverting RTTS to just offline mode only), maybe they will listen to majority thoughts on the topic for next year's version. For me I keep trying to play and will play (not as much as I would) but if it's anything like this year, I will not be buying next year's copy like I do every year..

Hey! Exactly similar to my post. The loadouts. Same base stats for each save is so bad. I want multiple completely different players all starting from the bottom. Getting rid of that because of DD tie in is the worst decision they ever made. Also the 2 way player they had to make loadouts for it to work. Sigh.

First off, I just signed up to post here and this will be my first time ever posting on the show forums in last 6 years playing MLB The Show. Most likely I will prob not reply back, just my rant, maybe will be seen/heard.

I just need to voice my take on The Show 21 this year.. so here goes.

I mainly play RTTS and Franchise. Once in a while I will play an online game just for fun. But this post is mainly geared about RTTS gameplay. I can imagine the frustration most are having with DD with the servers crashing. But what do you expect with basically doubling users and they prob never upgraded their servers. And with Franchise, it just doesn't have the same feel as it used to, since I mainly manage/sim. Not feeling it at all, which saddens me. Also trade logic somehow got worse.. but on to RTTS.

Why. Oh. Why did you tie RTTS with DD. Only reason I can see is to try to get some more players hooked into DD for some more micro-transactions. Personally, I would never even think about spending money on stubb's. For what? To show that I am richer than someone else playing online? Especially now, that nothing can be carried over to next seasons version? ...

Gameplay, here are my main gripes that is killing experience for me. So bad I wish I could refund this game.

• can not have multiple players. I want to be able to have new players that start from scratch. Not have fully capped players in AA, nor all look the same. Such idiocracy here.

• check swings is beyond absurd. Every one of them is a strike?

• pop up on perfects. Every fly ball gapper superman'd caught. When I dive to get a grounder, I am always just an inch short.

Tried them all, and all are similar and odd.

• trades and manager decisions somehow got worse than ever this year

• this two way player is nice, but really after the 30th time asking me, they would know I don't want to be one. Also I don't want to be one because when you do, and switch loadouts, all your gear goes missing (huge bug), stats don't count, etc

,- loadouts. Dumb

• bugs everywhere. Fielding teammates just freeze. Can't step on base at times. Glitches and so.

• my final gripe. I am so sick of the same commentary. It got old 2 years ago. Most of the time their comments are actually way off. ie: saying I am leading off yet theirs man on first already. Or I bat third, but they say this pitcher has to deal with 4 5 6. Yes it's minor stuff, but it's not like they had to implement all new commentary this year, last year. Hrmm..

If I had one wish for a fix/change. Untie RTTS with DD so can get rid of ballplayer. Can have multiple ball players. The main reason why we can only have one ballplayer is because of the DD tie in nonsense.. Many don't want anything to do with DD. Was it so hard to just release 2 play styles for RTTS in game?

When I finish this players career, there will be no point of me playing this game again since I could never start brand new because of this dumb dd RTTS [censored] you pulled.

Don't get me started on how I need to go into player equipment to select 2 batting gloves every time I do anything in ballplayer menu. Lol
