These are not moments, they are basically the stupid situations they used to fill the showdowns with when they first started that mode. Another god awful idea in a year stuffed with them.

I've made the right decision this year. I'm watching hockey and occasionally checking in here to see if anything substantial has changed, and I can see that's not the case.

I mentioned before it's actually the one and only reason I am not playing right now. I can't stand the OOP cards and since I like to play ranked (and BR, where the cards also pop up) I'm not engaged. Don't know if I'll come back later for Finest because I'll be quite far behind, but I might. For right now, I can't get into the game. If I get the itch really badly I'll take live series into ranked but I'm enjoying topps bunt right now so I'm good. I hope someone at SDS notices that the OOP card series is so trash that I've moved on to a card-collecting app with no regrets, and that's sad considering The Show is a proper video game.

Of course I doubt SDS intended to chase anyone away, but the honest truth is that my commitment to play daily stopped shortly after the OOP program started. I really couldn't get into those cards and as I do like to play ranked games here and there, I wasn't really able to build my team up. I didn't log in for a few days (binged Cobra Kai) and then thought I'd check out the Romantic program, which honestly I did find underwhelming. Not for the card overalls, I had no issue there, but simply rather for the lack of coherence in the program execution. It didn't draw me back in. The OOP program was the problem for me, though. As I'm not playing right now, I'm not progressing in TA and of course this is going to cause problems for me later if I want to reengage for Finest. I'll deal with it, if I decide to play again this year, but honestly it's not looking likely at the moment.

His 3000th hit was as a Twin. I think the Blue Jays didn't like Molitor's age after year 3 of his contract, combined with the fact that the third year as a Jay was affected by injury and his production had dropped from year 1 and year 2. I think they assumed he was done and didn't really make a serious effort to resign him, so he went hometown with the Twins. All he did in '96 was lead the league in hits with 225 and a .341 average, and crucially got that 3000th hit. The Jays could have had a legend achieve a great feat in their uniform. I think most of us following Molitor's career knew he wasn't done yet and that rebounding from injury was one of his greatest strengths. In the end I'm glad he went into the Hall as a Brewer, but if he'd stayed in Toronto and achieved 3000 as a Jay, I think he would have been tempted to go to the Hall as a Jay, given that he described the '93 season as with his WS MVP as the pinnacle of his career.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think anyone active is close to joining this list in the near future.

I thought so too, but then I logged in yesterday and saw the 14th on the sked. It could have been changed or we could have misremembered?

Crossplay question just to follow on this matchmaking thread -- I'm a PS user and I have crossplay turned off (since a few weeks). I matched up with someone today who had the Xbox logo in the game summary screen after the match, but in the game history there's a PS logo. Anyone know why this would be the case?

The game's fatigue mechanic makes things awfully risky. Control etc just fall off a cliff. If I think the guy can't throw anymore I'm going to think about making a change, no matter when it is. Sometimes I stick it out too long and the home run derby which follows reminds me to get the hook out earlier next time.

I finally turned off the commentary after 'snap throw!' last year. That was the last straw for me. I won't be turning it back on.

Speaking of pinpoint -- why is an opponent's R2 still affecting the pinpoint drawing motion? Thought that was sorted out, but apparently not.

I don't know if there's an easier way to fix this, but what I do is that I download the logo I want to use from the vault, then go into custom uniform and insert the logo everywhere I can (hat, jersey, jacket, helmet). I do this for both road and home custom uniforms. Then I select the MLB / MiLB / Negro League uniform I want (for the logo I chose from the vault) and voila. You can also edit the team logo in the customize menu which is different from the uniform customization, but for some reason I've always found it's better to do the uniforms as well.

3 or 4 times out of 10 the default logo will show up anyway, but that's another story.

If there's a faster way I'd love to hear it.
