The game seems to get worse every day. A new glitch or bad mechanic pops up regularly. If my 95 Diamond Defense 2nd baseman just runs by another 2 hop grounder I may puke. Hitting is just bad, check swings that are really full swings, AI determining outcomes through errors on game winning plays so that its not me or opponent diciding outcome but the AI. Catch up code that just takes over the game make score close. Close games means guys buying players and stubs to get better. Ever notice that when you debut a new player almost always Rakes in first 10 or so AB's then cools off quickly? Make you feel good about spending that money and hopfully you will dxo it again. Hell even HR Derby has a major bug where you don't get to hit in finals and lose. Says "Unfortune you hit 0 HRS." You didnt even swing once! I love baseball aand this franchise but SDS lost their focus on this edition. Too much emphasises on the eye candy and no resolution to the core of any sports game, the [censored] game mechanic. Hell my fielders are now often reacting in wgggrong direction and then they cant recover in time. Went and played MLB 19 and, while not perfect its at least fun. made it to #1 in the world on 19. I really hope they can correct 20 but Im not sure they know how to fix it to a proper level. It may not be fixable.. At least we now have the KBO on ESPN for baseball!

He was most likely playing on a PS4 Pro with fast connection which is a huge advantage if you are on a reg PS4. I had a guy couple days ago that i K'd 18 x's then out of no where 3 bombs in a row. Who knows with this fine piece of SW from SDS. Good luck! There are cheaters though but its not easy.

What a POS this game has become, losing BR games because fielders booting multiple balls in 1 inning with 2 outs. Strike 3 but no its a ball, then grandslam on impossible pitch. Get this [censored] [censored] catch up code out of the game. Fix your Game!

It's a big giant disappointment. If I could get my money back I would no question. Multiple bugs, hitting sucks, pitching is a [censored] shoot. One minute guy can't touch you then the AI says enough of that, 3 HR in a row on pitches that hung even though u hit marks. Its set up to promote the buying of stubs. save your money and frustration level and don't buy this piece of c**p. Just my opinion

You have to pitch with Whitley, you can get by on Sixto's velo. So kind of depends on how you like to pitch. Both can dominate though.

The game definatly has an element of the AI controling outcomes, especially in the 9th inning and extra innings. If you haven't experienced it then good for you but doesn't mean that its not an element affecting the game. I believe that it is a much more prevalent occurrence in the lower divisons because they want close games for newer players. Hard to attract new players if they are getting destroyed every game. They won't put forth the effort if they see no chance theyll ever be competitive. As you move up in level thats no longer and issue since most of the players are veteran players. It's been in every game it's just poorly tuned in this poorly tuned overall version of the game. I think they will eventually get it in a much better balance overall. Be well!

game is in a terrible spot, the patches have only made it worse. The AI is what is broken, its what is often deciding games. Things like Freddy Freeman booting a bunt down 1st baseline to allow run to score and inning to continue with runners in scoring position. Pitchers that are dominant then cant throw strikes and walk in winning run. You are not playing the other team you are trying to manage whatever the AI has made happen. Ever notice if the game starts with you ripping the ball and scoring a couple runs, then 3 quick outs on a pop up a dribbler and smashed line out the same thing happens for your opponent. The ninth is a comedy show its so ssscripted and fake, close game will always include a error or hits on great pitches put runners on, pitchers that are greatest of all time walking hitters and of course the contact hitter bomb to tie it up. Last game I hit a HR contact swinging with Gold Glebyer on 0-2 pitch I was just trying to foul off to run up pitch count. I wasnt even holding controller. It was a descent pitch. Thae AI interfering in the game to I guess in SDS view make it more competitive is whats killing the game. This isnt a racing game it does not need catch up mode, its not a baseball sim its a arcade platform now. Oh and the top players are now heavely influenced by SDS since they get insider access, access to devs aand other things that help their channels. Even if not consciously they are affected by their relationship with SDS. SDS wouldn't do it if they weren't getting positive returns for the effort. Unfortunatly we are not ever going to get the game we want because it would not be something that a new player would go and buy because the learning curve would be to steep, at least that is what SDS believes, so the AI or RNG intervenes and we have this big pile of steaming C**p that no one really likes but we keep playing in the forlorn hope that one day they will put out the game we want not the one that is most profitable. We know what the chances of that happening are ssince they are a for profit company. If I'm wrong then why doesn't SDS in a goodwill gesture refund any player that is not happy with the game? If the game is so good then it should be a small number and you remove those unhappy voices from the conversation. Why because thered be crickets on here along with a few streamers and the rest would be gone. Anyway I'll keep hoping they make it what it could be and look forward to the personal attacks that this will bring. In the end it is just a game. Good luck!

Yes that was happening in 19. It's like catch up mode in a racing game, no matter what you do the game is helping the player thats behind in the 9th. I always enjoy the random error by diamond fielders and meatballs by the greatest closers of all time.

There is no doubt a game play issue with the game overall. From pitches not locating, fielders just running by ground balls, outfielders not locking on balls and too easy to hit homers. I have Trout and multiple times he just hasn't caught the ball when its a routine play. The game inducing random errors on easy line drives with winning run on 3rd, thats insane the game deciding outcomes. It seems to me that we have this every year to a point but 2020 is game play wise pretty lacking, unrefined, unstable, unplayable and would get my money back if I could. My opinion is they spent too much time developing content, modes, the flashy cool novelty things and not enough effort on the heart of the game which is game physics/ game play. I think they'll get it where its descent but not what it could and should be for a platform thats been around as long as this one. Im not a great player but Ive played thousands of games on 16, 17, 18, 19 and now 20 and 20 is a huge disappointment.Which sux because I love the franchise but if the core game play is bad then its a bad game.
