I’ve been playing since mlb 16 and this is genuinely the worst experience I have had with the game. I can usually play all the way up to the next release but this time I am over the game at the all star break. In my opinion, hitting is far too random. This game would be the best because of the legit content getting rolled out but the gameplay doesn’t match. Every time I hit it feels like a lottery and while I understand baseball is a frustrating game… a video game should be fun to play where as this one is not. All of my friends have moved on from this game already so I’m stuck playing by myself. Co-op was so fun at the start but was absolutely butchered by making it shorter and not adding rewards, understandably though that they didn’t want to add them until it played like they wanted but this brings me back to my original point that gameplay itself is not fun which is what is holding this game back. Who cares if we have blowout games? Let good pci and good timing be rewarded and let people score 20+ runs a game if they deserve it. That’s why there is a ranking system to let insane players get ahead and new players learn against other new players. I love this game and the content is amazing but it needs a lot of work on the gameplay side.

Why is r2 still a thing? Why can’t we have the pitches just show to the right or left without making the pitcher stop? I just played a 45 min event game because people abuse this useless mechanic. How is this still a thing after all these years????

This game is no doubt plagued by foul balls and honestly the reason is because the pci goes outside the zone, I know the community wanted that change but it’s a video game, I’d take more fun over more realistic. I think the fix to foul balls is to revert back to when pci only stayed in the zone. Community took an L and devs listened to us with pci range.
