@LookAt_MeNowww_PSN Yes, in my understanding the only thing that won’t update are generic players without scans.

@LookAt_MeNowww_PSN Players who already have face scans will update with any changes added to them automatically. But players who haven’t been scanned in yet won’t be automatically added once they are scanned in.

For example, right now Mariners prospect Colt Emerson does not have a face scan/player model. If you start a franchise now, he will stay this way even if they add a face scan/player model later. It’s unfortunate but that’s the way it is right now.

The only thing I’m curious about when it comes to scans/player models is if the face scans are done during Spring Training then why don’t we get all of those scans within the first month of the season? Why are the new ones slowly leaked out throughout the year? I only ask because as a franchise player it really sucks to constantly have to restart a franchise in order to get the new realistic scans.

I think it is. But I did see a couple of those ‘glitch face’ guys. If those don’t bother you, I’d start.

I’m hoping to start with the opening day roster update. Hopefully they’ll add some new scans/models for prospects and other starters without them, but if not I think I’ll just add guys from the vault and start.

@KennyK73_PSN Not a fan of untouchable players either. Or, at least, not as many as there are. I do think it should be difficult to trade for stars but not impossible. 20 untouchable players per team is pretty crazy. There’s no way any team IRL would refuse to take offers for 20 players. Maybe 2-3 max??

@carryTHEflag117_PSN I fully understand that not everyone agrees to get scanned. I just don’t understand why all the scans they DO have aren’t released right after the season starts. Or even the first month. It’s just rough for franchise players to constantly have to restart their franchises just to get the latest scans which are slowly leaked out throughout the year. It doesn’t matter to everyone but for those who want the most realistic looking game, it does matter.

@ewolfy13_PSN It doesn’t? Well that’s disappointing. How can any team ever rebuild if they can’t trade for prospects?

Does anyone know if the untouchable status changes on players near the trade deadline?

@DTC1313_PSN It’s the main reason I’ll never preorder as a franchise player. I just can’t understand why they don’t add all the face scans they have at the very beginning.

That’s why I think prospects should be difficult to trade for, but not impossible. The Mariners just traded a couple prospects for Brendan Donovan and both of those prospects are untouchable in the game. It just seems weird to have a prospect with C potential be impossible to acquire.

But if that does change at the trade deadline, that would be huge and I think a very cool change.

Just saw a list of the ‘untouchable’ players in Franchise and wanted to get people’s opinions on it. Personally I don’t mind the idea of a select few per team being too valuable to trade for but it feels like way too many players are untouchable to me. It looks like every decent prospect can’t be traded or traded for, yet prospects are traded all the time irl. Juan Soto was literally traded (from the Nationals) for a handful of prospects and yet that trade would be impossible in this game.

I like that trades are a little more difficult but this feels overkill to me.

One question I did have is does the untouchable statuses change at the trade deadline?
