I’ve played every installment of The Show since 15’ and while I do enjoy some of the changes (bat noise, added animations, more DD content), the nerfs to hitting have unfortunately made the game less enjoyable. If you want realism at every level of the game, you play on hall of fame/all star. For a more arcade like experience, you play on veteran/rookie/beginner. This is no longer the case with MLB The Show 23 and you will fight and claw for every run you need to manufacture, regardless of difficulty. I’m not sure why they felt the need to change something that had been a great experience for the last decade.

Because I tried speaking about this in another thread and it turned into an echo chamber of how much I sucked at the game. People have a hard time sticking to observations only

They made every difficulty harder by changing the hitting. Squares balls aren’t squared. Perfect timed will be rolled over or popped in the infield. In the off chance you square one, it’s a deep fly out
