There's nothing SDS should take away from 2K.

There shouldn't be 8 win or go home showdowns in a single set-up.

This is not as bad since they changed the QS values. I don’t think it’s much of a change to be honest.

I have 520k saved and waiting. Trying to decide if I want to knock out the Angels or do like 20 teams.

The only place for most of these prices to go is down. SDS, credit to them, eventually make you able to acquire anything and everything and as more and more are out there, the prices go down. The only time it's backfired on me is maybe when a gold goes diamond or some other upgrades. But it doesn't happen that often. I sell and then decide where I want to prioritize my buying.

I sell pretty much everything I can. I try to have a decent lineup and then sell the rest. When I go do collections, I buy the card at a lower price. Most often, I'm trying to buy them (the live series when possible) at the quick sell value.

I am excited to see this all. But after playing 2K the past month, it does kind of remind me of that. There are so many different card series...and card boosts and duos, etc.

It's a slippery slope I hope SDS can manage. Because 2K is kind of annoying/confusing/distracting with all the different stuff they've got going on.

Just recently I've started getting excited again. Maybe it's because baseball has started again. I know there are some questions about this new one and things I'm not sure on yet (captains, sets/series/seasons) but its cool to have Negro League storylines and I love they added the World Baseball Classic. I might not even make my own uniform this year if I can rock the full USA. I wish the game was out now since the WBC is going on. I haven't played The Show in more than a month as I waited. That might be the longest I've gone without playing in 4-5 years (could be a sign of how content tailed off at the end of last year, too).

I played events sometimes and don’t mind a mode where it’s limited. But don’t make it most of the modes.

The change needed to be more variety in the CPU teams. Doesn’t sound like that’s happening unless you play one of the “theme” modes. Personally, I have no interest in theme modes. Like all left-handers? No thanks.

After playing 2K quite a bit for the past three weeks, I hope SDS does NOTHING the way 2K does.

Just another unnecessary change, IMHO. We’ll see how it works, I guess.

Just watched the DD show on Twitch. Captains cards, sets, and the little random game for unlimited programs sure sound like they’re pulled from 2K. Please, SDS, don’t copy 2K. @CBrev47_MLBTS

I have been playing 2K for the first time ever and got into My Team, their version of Diamond dynasty. I bought the game on sale as something to do until The Show comes out and have been playing for a couple weeks. I have to say, that The Show is better than 2K in almost every way. 2K is crazy complicated. (I’ve quickly grown addicted but that’s beside the point). All the different cards and sets that come out weekly almost, the several different tier types, the badges and shoe boosts, duos, etc., yuck. I hope The Show doesn’t get too out of it crazy like that. It’s not good. Their “seasons” are not as good as The Show’s “programs,” too. And their auction house is so bad compared to The Show community market.

It’s absolutely pay to win there and all they do is try to entice you to spend money and buy packs. I’ve been sticking to NMS there (as I do here, too, frankly) and you can absolutely tell the difference. It’s all about the micro transactions. So bad.

It’s AI game play is not good either.

It’s weird. I’ve gotten into it, but I can’t wait for The Show in a few weeks. Miles ahead of 2K in almost every way.

Why do they do negative categories? And more than one?

Anyone have anymore of these? Not that I need the packs. But I’ve been in the mood to play MLB today and it’s always nice to have a goal to accomplish.

Some questions/observations:

• Can you get a “perfect” pitch with anything other than pinpoint?

• Is it TOO EASY to hit perfect with pinpoint?

• Am I doing myself a disservice by not using it?

I still use analog, if nothing more than I like the thought of “windup and fire” for pitching rather than drawing circles. That said, am I at a disadvantage because I don’t use it? Nearly everyone I face these days (I get it, it’s just the hardcores left. Not complaining) are getting so many perfect releases. I’m fairly decent at hitting spots with analog. But should I just relent and learn to use it? How hard is it to learn? How forgiving is it? I’ve held off, but if I need to learn it to really be at my best, maybe I’d do it.
