Opponent’s team name was “Sheffield HR and I quit”. I did as requested and I hit a home run with Sheffield in the top of the first. They kept playing. Learned my lesson I won’t be fooled again.

I went something like 6 for 7 with Awards Matt Chapman in my first two games using him, with 4 hits being XBH.

But don’t worry, I got him back around .220, where players on my roster belong.

I make a fun little game with it. I take a drink every time I give up a home run. Then after 45 minutes it’s off to the ER to get my stomach pumped.

Why so dramatic with the “I’m deleting the game for a few weeks” comment

Congrats on getting a console with infinite storage space. Some of us have to delete games to make room to try new games.

You see comments like this often because a lot of players are frustrated/losing interest in the game, and this is a good forum for providing feedback to SDS.

We are at the next phase of cheating. Forget trash cans and steroids. Putting Flubber(tm) in the bases is truly cutting edge.

Boring grinds, quantity over quality when it comes to content, etc. etc., I agree with most of the criticisms of this year's game that appear on this forum regularly.

Maybe I've just been playing the game for too long IDK, but this year's DD has just not been fun since about week 2 or 3.

I realize this isn't an airport and I don't have to announce my departure, but I'm deleting the game for at least a few weeks. Maybe I'll come back for season 3 where there will be 30 brand new unusable future starts to grind for in TA3.

Hope things get better and more interesting in future seasons, but I have a feeling '24 will be the first year since '18 that I don't buy this game.

I really hate it when they release cards that other people might like because they hit well with them or are just a fan of the team or the player. They should cater to my needs specifically all the time otherwise what’s the point.

This is my third full year playing DD. We are now at the part in the game cycle where I decide I’m going to take a year off of the game and then they announce a new legend or two that makes my credit card self-aware and it preorders the game for me.

I asked for world peace and a PS5. And if there’s only time for one just the PS5.

Now I can’t work on any 4th inning stuff for at least 3 days. Boo.

If I end up doing something like reading or being productive this weekend I’m going to be very upset.

I like to be impatient for the first 3 innings and swing at everything. Then I realize I need to focus. So I’ll continue to be impatient and swing at everything for 3 more innings because I’m an idiot. Then, I’ll actually focus for the last 3 innings and watch for mistakes over the middle and try to pick up on tendencies.

I’m a collector and I enjoy a zoning out for a mindless grind here and there so I don’t mind the hours it takes to work the market or play all the conquest maps.

I haven’t even been flipping since mid-September and making stubs hasn’t been an issue there have been so many free packs lately.

Nature will be 50mph winds.

Part 1 wind will be blowing in.

I will still find a way to give up 5 HRs per game when the wind is blowing in.

What if you like the concept of showdowns but want to see it tweaked to make it less frustrating (cut down on the ESPY-worthy plays by scrub CPU players, make luck less of a factor in general, etc)? Or does that just fall under “quit whining” haha
