Keep an eye on the prices of the buy orders. Sometimes they go up by 1 or 2, but then others, for some weird reason you see a radical jump. Whether it's 25 stubs for a bronze or 50 for a silver. It's weird, but you may not notice it.

Also, take all the advice from everyone else already mentioned.

Go to
Programs -> player programs -> Eric Davis

Then you can see a task list. The easiest thing to do at that point is beat the orioles (cpu) on all star difficulty, but there are other options to finish the program. If you just completed the missions, you'll be at 42/50 points to acquire him.
