As many of us have encountered while playing this game, I am in a horrible, confidence shattering slump.

All of the sudden, I couldn't catch up to the fastball, my PCI placement was dog [censored] and I kept swinging at low pitches even though I knew they were coming. And when I did manage to make contact it was weak contact (every hitter became that gold Jackie Robinson card we just got).

And as many of you know, when you start swinging at the low junk your eyes naturally focus on that zone, I end up missing the hangers cause I am so low zone conscious.

I have heard that Strike Zone 2 is good for seeing the low pitch and helping you lay off of it.

I would appreciate any of your slump breaking tips as well.

Keep your hand off the controller and watch pitches. Take at least strike one, if not strike two. It helps me slow things down and focus on identifying the release point of the pitcher instead of just looking for the ball.

Take a day or two off from the game, seriously. When I’m playing really poorly it’s best to just take a break and come back replenished mentally

    Thanks for the advice.

Have you heard or tried Strike Zone 2 to lay off the low pitch?

I never slump, at all, ever.

But I have overheard some of my less fortunate colleagues at the institute discussing their woes in the break room and apparently they recommend taking a relaxing epsom salt bath with a few candles and Kenny G playing.

I can't speak to the effectiveness of this method, due to my own infallibility, but I say give it a try, because genetics won't save you.

I don’t care for it. I’ve been using strike zone offset, but strike zone seems to work best for me.
