Get the Little Things Right

SDS

With fielding being everyone’s biggest grips followed by pitching and the Good/Okay rages I don’t think SDS will ever get around to the little things that’s immerse you. Examples:

What happened to the throwback looks of old games. Just giving me a squared white dashboard doesn’t immerse me in the moment. Give me the white and black moments again and the retro 90’s feel.

Am I the only one driven crazy by the absolute easy win that SDS fails at. If I’m in a moment and it’s my first bat why does the stat line say 0-1 in the top of the first or the announcers saying some random line about grounding out my first at bat WHEN THIS IS MY FIRST AT BAT. Trivial thing but it just shows a lack of attention to detail on SDS part.

Knock it off with the money grubbing. You show a lot about what your company stands for in times of despair with your actions. SDS during this pandemic has released 6 different Headliners and had two different “flash packs” All while not patching the above complaints. Pair this with the fact that you have a 1:50 chance at pulling a diamond but Youtubers open 3 50 pack bundles and walk away with two golds....

All that being said I’ve loved the game this year. I’ve got about 5 days of playing time and not slowing down. I think they’ve did a lot of good. Creating new moment, content updates have been solid, etc.

SDS

They are not going to stop dropping packs and content. That’s how they make money and you can’t blame them for wanting to make money during this time.

Did you know over half of Los Angeles County residents are now unemployed? Some of these guys are literally fighting for their job and could be laid off any day. (That goes for all of us still working).

I have bashed them for gameplay the last month, but you have to remember content/packs and gameplay are two separate things.

SDS

Those flash pack sales are ways to keep market inflation down so all players have at least a shot at affording cards. Same with the headliners program. A 7.5k pack with a slightly increased odds at a diamond that are a means of injecting a reasonable card while pumping additional live series inventory into the market is hardly a money grab.

I should note* I understand the need to drop Headliner Packs and Boosters as means of money making. I meant that they are dropping those faster than they’re dropping actually patches to fix poor mechanics that make a Baseball Sim a Baseball Sim.
