MTO Momentum
-
I had momentum as much as u can be and up 3-0 in ALCS and it puts me in the 6th down 4-1 in the game to sweep. Why?
-
Couldn't tell you, from what I've seen playing the mode momentum doesn't seem to matter once you get into the playoffs.
-
That’s so odd, but at least up 3-0 in series. Just makes it longer.

agreed. Guess it doesn't matter. was up 2 games to 0 vs Dodgers in WS and won game 2 with a walk off but of course start game 3 down 2-1 or something like that. so why even have it as a part of the playoffs if it don't matter.

I have a theory if anyone cares. I think most playoff games are set to start in innings 4, 5, or 6. I think some sort of game sim occurs and the game tells the sim to stop in one of these innings if the score is within two runs. If the game stays tied, it goes to the sixth. I also believe that there’s something in the programming that makes being tied the most likely outcome.
That being said, I think that programming is thrown out if it is an elimination game. I find when I am in the verge of winning a series, the scores look weird. I’ve been up six and down four like the op. My evidence is the six MTOs I’ve done. I know that’s obviously a very small sample space.
What do you guys think?
