Hats off to SDS….It is Honestly Impressive….

Don’t do them then. Especially not all of them. Most of the cards in those collections are cheap and you get some for free. They don’t cost 500 dollars. This isn’t like the Lamar Jackson card they dropped in Mut.
It is slimy to drop a switch hitter collection every other week. I don’t blame them either. Why not join the money making party?

NBA 2K puts out cards regularly in their events that are realistically only obtainable by spending thousands on packs. The two games are light years apart. SDS is creeping towards what 2K was 5 years ago, but in that 5 years 2K has gotten exponentially more greedy while SDS is closer to linear.
These collections are every other week and feasibly obtainable as NMS (although grinding DQ isnt for everyone and pack RNG from miniseasons sucks). On a scummy scale of 1 to 10 its like a 2. They arent time limited, repeatable packs are earnable in game. They dont require a microtransaction only currency. Some people will be impatient and buy stubs but its not remotely necessary
That said, the potential collection fatigue is bad for the game. I greatly preferred the 2023/2024 collection model of much bigger collections and strongly feel that these last 3 drops should have all been part of a 100 card set instead of 3 smaller ones.

I completely agree with you and it is hard to believe it has taken this long for MLB to creep in the direction of 2K.

To be honest, it makes the game a little more fun as long as it doesn’t get out of control.

@I23SAVAGE23I_XBL thats what he does. He only exists on here to defend sds for everything.

Releasing some good cards that are actually attainable would be a good start. Collections where you get 5 cards and then have to buy or get the rare round for the other 25 is getting stale really quick.
-
@DemIsE4_XBL they always sprinkle some in tbf - Willi Castro, Will Smith, Elly, Willie McGee, Rod Carew, José Alvarado’s a low-round this drop, I agree with the sentiment but they don’t paywall everything (because they can’t, but that’s besides the point)

Well, he is correct, if you don't want do the collections, don't do it. It doesn't require you to say "F off dude". That's just childish.

@Player99_MLBTS that guy doesn’t like the game at all. Just leave him be.
