Since the game's release, I have been consistently experiencing games being dropped because of server errors. I was finally able to hear back from a member of SDS and they gave me the following recommendations:

  1. Double-check the clock and date settings on the PS4 as there have been issues with that
  2. Change the DNS settings to Primary and Secondary to
  3. Make sure ports 10000 and 11000 are open bidirectionally on your router

I completed 1 and 2 but I am struggling with 3. The ports recommended on the PSN website are
TCP: 80, 443, 3478, 3479, 3480
UDP: 3478, 3479

I am by no means a tech wizard at all but my confusion lies in the vague port recommendations from SDS (no TCP or UDP included so I assume it means both?) and the PSN port recommendations do not include either 10000 or 11000. Can anyone help me understand this or point me in a better direction? I have googled, youtubed and everything and I cant make 1+1=2
