Its very easy to hit balls outside of the strike zone, especially under the zone. The meta is to instead of pitching to the bottom of the zone bring the pitch up about 6 inches.

Basically they have made hitting so bad in hopes of keeping players who cant stop swinging at everything playing the game that youre better off just throwing pitches more towards the center of the zone and hope they slam their pci.

@go4stros25_PSN I mean hitting should be considered more realistic. As the average velocity of a ball in play is under 90 mph. Not every ball should have to be squared up to get a base hit. Bloop hits happen in real life. If anything it helps with not every hit being a home run.

@ApolloZ_99_MLBTS I more referring to the ability to foul off pitches out of the zone and the rng that allows player A to get a bloop hit on a bad swing out of the zone while player B hits a perfect line drive the the shortstop.

Miss me with the "in real baseball" bs. This is a video game and if a video game is rewarding a player for any other reason than user input, then its rng.

@go4stros25_PSN couldnt agree more. Dont give my oppenents bloops and then myself great input outs all game long. Absolutely rng. They can have their bloops as long as i get my great input hits.

@eatyum_PSN that's why I used palyer A and player B. It happens to everyone, and if you are actually good at the game it feels scummy even when it happens in your favor.

@go4stros25_PSN It's a tough balance, I had a guy jamming sinkers inside every 1st pitch, so I sat my PCI there, and connected well with 3 of them, all outs. I felt irritated that I knew where it was going to be, squared it up, and he got rewarded with outs.

I don't want to say "that's baseball", but if there weren't lineouts in the game, if there weren't bloops in the game, I wouldn't feel like I'm playing baseball. I want to feel that way. How much or how little bloops should happen can be debated, but the bottom line is, even if they were reduced drastically, as long as bloops are in the game, sometimes player A is going to be beat by a bloop.
