There needs to be a system in which all of the dashboarders get punished for playing like dweebs.

+1 for a good game, well played.

-1 for dashboarders or for playing like a spoiled 9 year old.

After I win or lose a well played game, I'd like to report the player as being a GOOD competitor.

Maybe my own sportsmanship rating influences how much weight my + or - holds.

It would even things out over time, let the crumbs play each other. while those of us who just want good competition can get more of that.

This system would get abused so much by the toxic players and anyone salty after a loss. If youre really facing toxic players you can report them

I like the what you tried to do but i agree with therupster , it would get abused . Maybe we can find some tweaks so it doesn't get abused

@TheRupster12_XBL Reporting toxic players does nothing. There needs to be consequences. I do see how this could be abused though. I’d suggest a progressive ban for disconnections. First offense in a 24 hour period is a warning. 2nd is 30 minutes. 3rd is 24 hours.

I dont really see the problem with someone quitting, other than stat padding. I dont really see toxic players much though, maybe theres more at lower ratings

@TheRupster12_XBL Quitting and DASHBOARDING are very different things. Notice I said disconnects and not quits. Quitting should not be penalized.

Again, dont really see the problem. Do you really care that much about stat padding?

@TheRupster12_XBL It’s not just stat padding. It’s also about interfering with other people’s progress. It’s toxic behavior that should be punished.

Not everyone is a thousand rated player. Some people struggle to complete online goals.

I honestly never thought I’d see anyone defending DASHBOARDING.

A percentage of people playing online, and likely a fairly large percent, are just playing through the program. And dashboarding absolutely sucks [censored].

Dashboarding is blatant griefing, and if it can be proven should in my opinion be a full year ban. Problem is, there is an outside chance that the player happened to disconnect at that time (extremely unlikely) or some other external thing. So three strikes seems fair

Banning someone for dashboarding is diabolical. I understand that its kind of annoying, but at the end of the day, youre being gifted a win. If I have to sacrifice a home run in the stats, Ill take that every single time. Theres just no world where closing the game in the middle of a play should result in a ban

@TheRupster12_XBL If you’re such a sore loser that you decide to take away something someone else earned, you absolutely deserve a short term ban. Grow up.

Pretty sure 9 times out 10 if you beat someone they'd report you for the -1

It's a toxic game and always will be. I've played since 2020 DD and I def have more people that play toxic than don't.

If I had enough free time it'd be cool to play in a league were everyone was vetted and the league could police itself.

To be fair he's probably where I am in the 300-500 range at times where people will dashboard if you hit a ball that is going out

@GoozeFn_PSN Imagine telling someone to grow up when you come up with something that can gt people banned in spite of playing good legit games thanks to the abuse of the 90% of this community that can't handle losing

Of course it should get a ban. Its griefing. There is no defense here.

The fix here could be, that you would have to earn the right to be in on the system. Maybe just let SDS affiliates be a part of it to start with. As they rate their games, others would be let in based on their gameplay, so as to only let trusted in the system.

the better you play, the more influence you have. the crappier you play, the less chance you have to be a part of it.

I know, It's a lot, and I don't expect it to come to fruition, but it would be nice. all online gaming should have an accountability system.

@dart_wuffy_PSN That’s why I suggested first offense within a 24 hour period is a warning. Then a short cooldown. Then a 24 hour cooldown. I’m all for an actual ban, but I don’t think you can realistically apply it, which is why I’m suggesting the short cooldown periods.

Honestly they need to find a way to code the game where if the player disconnects mid play the opponent gets to play out the full play. That would remove dashboarding from the game.

Bunt dancing should be easy to code out too. You get to show bunt once. If you do it a second time you are locked in and cant pull away until after the pitch is thrown

They could give you like 3 " dashboards" in case it was legitimately your internet thst went out . After that you get blocked for a week from playing competitive. Since 2022 ive only had 3 accidental dashboard 🤷‍♂️

I’ve become numb to it. I worry about stats. Have I quit games yes. However I’ll let the ball land or the play end then quit. I have kids sometimes life literally throws a curveball.
