In RTTS, I love everything about it, but I wish it were more immersive. What I mean is I wish there were more interactions and involvement with the community, fans, free agency and the WBC.

    1. Interactions: give us more to deal with. For any position that we choose, they can ask us who are favorite player is and we can choose. The players to choose from are Hall of Famers, that would give us tips and have little conversations about our hitting, fielding, pitching, clutch moments, ways to improve (a training simulation with their voiceover) and free agency. Also, give us cutscenes. I'm not saying it has to go full 2K but give us a rival or have cutscenes for those big moments.

    2. Involvement: have social media mean something. For whatever city we play in, there will be times where we can go to a local baseball field and interact with the fans. Pick up a bat and hit or catch a couple balls that boost our stats for the upcoming or current team we're playing. Brand deals are something I would like to. Like I said earlier, not to go full 2K but if a player gets drafted first round or hits a big goal, we get sneaker and brand deals with gear for us to wear instead of using stubs to get gear. But we can still get common gear with stubs too. Give us a team goal during a game.

    3. Free Agency: I'd improve and make it more fun by having us go to other cities and have a key player from others teams meet us in a restaurant with our agent and tell us how they would love to have us on the team and how having us is the key they were missing on making the postseason. Also, let us sign a huge contract, I'm talking that Juan Soto money lol

    4. WBC: this is what I've wanted most in these games for years. The WBC is a fun tournament that I and many other people love to watch. To root for our country is great but if we got the chance to play for that country is even better. I'd involve the WBC like it is in real life. Every 3 years our player is asked if they want to participate in the WBC and we can choose if we want to or not. I'd rather that than to play spring training (I know we can sim through it). Or if a player really likes the WBC, they have the option to make it a yearly thing. Make the country we choose actually mean something other than what combine team we play on and commentary.

These are things I'd love to see in the next games. For all that took the time to read this, thank you and have a good day or night.

These are all great ideas but until SDS can somehow claw money out of players for RTTS it will continue to be near the bottom of the list in terms of priority.

Your suggestions all have great merit and SDS would be wise to listen and implement them. But, I think the first step would be for SDS to fully embrace the simple concept that ALL interaction should have measurable impact on a player's development. Moreover, all interactions with managers and media should have a more accurate connection with a player's actual performance.

The immersion in the current RTTS generations is destroyed when avatar players sit down to a so-called manager meeting, and be told they are being demoted back to AAA due to poor performance, all when said player is posting a team best batting average, RBI, and homer tally! This situation happens somewhat regularly and plays so far off rational scale that it likely causes a great many players to immediately abandon RTTS out of frustration.

This is akin to shooting yourself in the foot with respect to SDS. It's an unforced error and plenty of customers have pointed it out, but it adds to the many areas that SDS has chosen to ignore vice fix!

In terms of the connection with development, the way Madden NFL does this is hand's down superior to MLB The Show in every measure. When the player conducts a media interview, every response is evaluated in terms of measured impact on player development. Likewise, interactions with coaches and players are also evaluated in that way.

Each week in pre-game preparation, there is an interaction vignette presented, and the customer chooses how the player "plays out" those situations, with the choices resulting in positive or even negative player attributes, not merely for the avatar player, but with the media, fans, agent, coaches, and other players. Your avatar player interacts with his teammates in ways that can improve the quality of the team, by improving the attribute levels of teammates. These impacts happen with both offensive and defensive players.

SDS has absolutely nothing that compares to this other than a nebulous attribute boost that seems temporary during select game situations. What Madden does is permanent, measured, and detailed in feedback. In terms of offline game modes, SDS is well behind their competition in other sports titles. They are playing their current monopoly to their financial advantage, but that margin is worn thin. SDS needs to get with it!
