As someone who has made WS every ranked season this year (and I know it's not as big of a deal this year as in year's past) it is getting EXTREMELY frustrating trying to hit on Hall of Fame. I'm scoring about a run/inning on All-Star, but as soon as I hit 700 and move to Hall of Fame, my hitting falls off a cliff and the game just isn't fun. I'd rather play games where I win or lose 11-9 on All-Star than play these games on Hall of Fame where one player wins because they hit one more solo HR than their opponent.

The pitching HAS to get harder on the higher difficulties doesn't it? I mean, between the faster pitch speeds and smaller PCI, hitting gets significantly more difficult when you move up but pitching basically doesn't change at all. Every pitcher is still pinpointing every single pitch he throws in any count. You can deal with that in All Star with the lower pitch speeds, but with the faster pitch speeds I'm just REALLY struggling to catch up to the 103mph fastball on the black while simultaneously trying to recognize if the slider with 25 inches of break is going to break half an inch off the inside corner. Or if the cutter is going to cut half an inch off the inside corner. Or if the changeup is going to break half an inch off the bottom of the zone.

What's the meta to hit on the higher difficulties because right now I feel like I'm just trying to get lucky

The hitting engine is destroyed man. I’ve played countless games that make absolutely 0 sense. I can crush the ball all game and keep hitting into line drive outs while my opponent makes soft contact and hits 7 homeruns on 8 “goods” or early and late. It’s a mess. Servers have something to do with it and internet. Additionally, if u play someone with weak internet just quit. They will likely win and you will have serious issues pitching and hitting with pool noodle while they make soft contact for homers almost every at bat. The game is severely broken in regards to that. that’s why guys with horrible connection have such low ERA

I primarily play on all star and I'll score 10 runs against an outlier pitcher and then the next game we have the 1 run duel against Mike mussina that is impossible to catch up to, like no matter what I cannot over the latency or maybe the latency changes during the game?

I wish for dedicated servers because the game is solid when the connection is perfect but there is no telling from game to game how it will feel.

Even when connection is perfect for me it’s a coin toss who’s gonna get the good exit velo or not. It’s pretty ridiculous and it’s getting worse and worse as the year ends.
