Hypothesis, ranked vs events?

I played events mostly on Saturday and every game had terrible lag. I was behind on everything. No disconnects but everything seemed had input lag.
Haven't hardly noticed this at all in ranked all season.
Played a few events this morning and same deal. Just played a ranked game and felt great again.
All games were on all star difficulty. Last ranked game I faced randy and still had 24 good contacts. In events against common pitchers I fee like it's tanking my batting averages.
I noticed this in the past in moonshot events for whatever reason but this year I feel like all the events feel terrible. Swing "under water" I've heard a few content creators say and seems accurate.
Past 5 years or so I feel like ranked was always hit or miss and events/br played solid and consistent. This year seems it's flipped

It's not only you. I've noticed the same, especially during the moonshot events.

Events has been a lackluster way to spend time for majority of people all year, since SDS nerfed the rewards on it. With that said, Moonshot has always been very popular for events. It’s a great way to pad stats for cards that players use in Rank. Also, SDS slightly improved the rewards for events recently. Those two coinciding as well as playoff baseball starting up and double xp being announced, expect a heavier burden on event serves, thus more latency.
