@DemIsE4_XBL bots were allowed, so many Chinese farming websites are the reason for them being in the game. All they do is sell stubs for dirt cheap. The reason bot farmers got banned was because of how much stubs you could make with zero effort. Immortal 6-0 without ever sweating and top leaderboard reward for those who don’t enjoy solo ranked. Finding bots is truly too easy for anyone on Xbox. Turn crossplay off and search, simple as that. Look at history till you find a bot. Ban bot farmers, I’m fine with that. But not banning those exploiting a coop glitch twice now and the stadium glitch is embarrassing.

It's like Fortnite releasing an exclusive skin back in the item shop when they weren't supposed to and banning the people who bought it.

Completely disagree here. These people are taking advantage of an exploit which they know goes against the TOS. They should be banned.
Right from their TOS:

Not really since this is a custom stadium, not one they are providing. Regardless exploiting a known glitch violates the TOS you agree to when you load the game the first time.

Agree with the TOS take but they’ve done a poor job with applying it. Coop glitch where all you had to do was dashboard happened in the first ranked season session and no one was banned. They just patched it in an update a week later. Now the glitch is back, check the top 100 leaderboards to find all the proof. Will they be banned? Hopefully, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they just did an update and called it okay.

Right from their TOS:

There is no logical avenue to disagree with that point. Clearly, the ability to move the baseline and backstop walls were deliberately used by these nefarious people to construct a stadium deliberately designed to "obtain an unfair advantage." I am confident that this same TOS term is present for customers who purchased XBox X/S consoles.
It is cheating, but it isn't merely to gain an "unfair advantage." It is sicker than just that. These people also desired to simply prevent honest play, and in that respect they are cheating the very integrity of the game. Their motivation is akin to a denial of service attack, in that they seek to make it virtually impossible to play an honest online video baseball game.
The other complication is that honest stadium designers have been wanting to be able to move the baseline wall panels for five years, just so they could create stadiums that actually look like stadiums constructed over the last 40 years of baseball, all of them featuring "pinched in" wall sections as one advances down the baselines past the dugouts. The reason stadiums were designed this way is that more field level seats could be placed nearer to the action, and so were also sold at a premium price.
Teams didn't want to move the dugouts much closer to the infield because it was already a risk of sharp foul balls being hit into the dugouts and causing injuries to players and coaches. But, past the dugouts, it was a clear option to move the seats closer to the foul lines.
OK, so trying to match that reality is something we stadium designers wanted and professionally have asked SDS to provide for the five years since MLB 21 saw Stadium Creator premiered. SDS has stubbornly clung to their one-shape-fits-all model we call the jewel box because it is a nearly perfect square shape looked at from above.
So, we discovered how to finally be able to move these wall panels and learned there is a lot of block code in SC to keep us from doing things that in a full functioning version of SC that SDS uses, can be done. We recognized the risk of folks abusing it, and that's why three months ago, within a few days of discovering the option to move the wall panels in the baselines and backstop, we privately warned SDS of the risk, and asked them to implement two steps to prevent the abuse happening, but let us keep the option to modify the baseline/backstop wall panels but such modified stadiums could not be used in online play.
Well, SDS ignored all that, did their own thing, and everyone now publicly knows the risk and publicly knows the cause. It's a total shame. All SDS needed to do was listen to honest stadium designers who just wanted the option to make better looking, more realistic custom stadiums.

@whiplash0013_PSN Ban everyone who used that stadium in any way. If they did, this stuff would be far less frequent. If people know that SDS is spineless and won’t hold people accountable for cheating, people will continue to find ways to cheat.

So basically SDS is even if you know there is a glitch, please don't exploit it to expose our stupidity. I get what they're saying, but it goes to show they are very stupid.

This is in the TOS for pretty much every game out there to prevent glitches and exploits. As a IT person, I can tell you there is no such thing as perfect code. It's as real as unicorns and Santa. Glitches/exploits will always be a part of code, these terms in their TOS protect us as gamers from these bad actors.

I'm glad you said you were an IT guy. So, while I studied computer science at NC State, it was a very long time ago, but I imagine that even the basics of Pascale, Fortran, Basic, and Assembly Language for Motorola CPU's have not changed all that much.
Now, what if a small group of customers came to you, explained in private communications that there was an exploit out there, explained that by taking existing code and extending it to apply not only to the outfield wall panels, but also the baseline and backstop wall panels, to render any stadium with moved wall panels ineligible for online play, would you consider that a reasonable solution to preventing the very cheating this thread discusses, or would you ignore it entirely and keep your fingers crossed that the malicious types would remain blind to the possibilities and not do what ended up becoming a problem yesterday?
Stew on that and please let me know. I suspect I know the answer. But, while I'm not a total novice to computer coding, perhaps my view that extending the reach of code to apply it to move of all wall panels vice just the outfield wall panels, is misplaced. But, to me, that seemed like the ticket.

It would all really depend on my team size and how my product owner/manager prioritized this defect. I have no insight into their backlog and the things their development team is currently working on in their current sprint. I would agree that this creates a very poor experience for the players that experience this glitch but what the product owner would need to take into account is how many times this glitch is happening. Is this a fairly isolated issue compared to the total # of online games played? Also, they will need input from the dev team to determine how much effort it will be to fix this issue and what items they can push out of the sprint to make room for this item. Being in the industry it's not as simple as just fixing the issue. There is a lot of analysis, development, testing and then regression testing that goes into items such as this which takes time and effort from the dev team where they are now delaying development of other items and programs.

They had three months and vice follow our suggestion, they decided with Update #15 to layer more lock out code to try to prevent further moves of the wall panels in the baselines and backstop. So, they had time and money to do that, but not to do the stuff that would have preventing the cheating that actually did happen.

@whiplash0013_PSN They only protect us if they act on their TOS and punish the bad actors. That doesn’t happen in this game. Once again, a mode, no, every online mode is unplayable because they take too long to fix these things and no one will get banned.

Don't disagree here. If they don't have the dev cycles to fix it, at least they can use Customer Support cycles to monitor and defend it.
