This is going to be a bit of a rant so get ready. So MLB 25. In terms of content, the game isn't all that great. Of course, the vast majority of the best cards in the game are locked behind these insane collections which cost an insane amount of stubs and a lot of grinding, which it should because these are the best cards in the game. But, if my math is correct, it would cost over 6 MILLION STUBS in total to complete the new Jose Bautista collection. Of course, depending on where you're at, you won't have to spend nearly that much most likely, but in total that's how many stubs you spent for ONE SINGULAR CARD. Don't get me wrong, Bautista is insane, and the best cards in the game should be quite challenging to get. But does every single good card have to be locked behind an expensive collection? We had to collect 96 cards over All-Star Week for Aaron Judge, Cal Raleigh, and Ethan Holliday. And while these cards are great and all, is that really necessary? We definitely need a bit more of a balance although I will say that SDS has improved a little with this with the new Hall of Fame program and making the XP rewards fairly quick and easy to get. But, then again, going back to collections, all the big names are in one spot and require less grinding and require more stubs. Now you can grind for stubs, but that's harder than just grinding for the cards in general. I'm not one of these streamers who has 1092 hours of their life over 4 months to spend all this time and money on collections. However, we just have to except this because SDS doesn't care. Also, the rewards for hitting WS, one of the hardest accomplishments in the game, are a little underwhelming in terms of value. And the gameplay, well, TOO MANY FOUL BALLS ON PITCHES MY OPPONENTS AND I HAVE NO BUSINESS TOUCHING AND THE AB DRAGS ON AND ON AND ON AND PITCHES THAT ARE LITERALLY IN THE [censored] STRIKE ZONE ARE CALLED BALLS, AND IF I HAVE MY OPPONENT DOWN TO TWO OUTS TWO STRIKES IN A BIG SPOT, THAT WILL CERTAINLY BITE ME IN THE [censored] BECAUSE THIS IS THE SHOW. And don't forget freeze-offs which haven't happened to me personally in 25, but have to be the corniest [censored] I have ever seen
