RotY but nothing?

So I'm in spring training after getting called up in my 2nd year in Aug. Led the team in BA and OPS by the end of the season. So in my 4th spring training game in the following year the announcers introduce me as the American League Rookie of the Year. I was? My coach never said anything. My agent never said anything. The game didn't even say anything!
You'd think there would be something in the game for this...your agent, your coach, some training tokens, a package, a little pop-up with fireworks saying congrats, Mike Trout saying we bros...something.

At the end of each RTTS season, you should see a menu option where you can review all the winners of the hardware. If you won ROTY, then your avatar player should have been so listed. In addition, in your player profile there is a presentation option showing all your awards over your career, and it will be there also.

@Precisionist99_XBL I agree but unfortunately you don’t get anything for winning any of the seasonal individual awards, not even MVP. Someone suggested a possible playable Rawlings mitt with gold accents for winning the gold glove, but that probably won’t happen either. You would never know you won anything unless you check the main awards tab, your personal awards tab, or as you found out an announcer saying it.

@Precisionist99_XBL ya it’s kind of lame that personal achievements don’t have much meaning or feel special in any way. It seems lazy imo to not add more interactions and such to give the player more immersion

@CHIKENHAWK1239_XBL Yeah..I gotta say for the RPG element of having your own character Madden is light years ahead of the Show in that department. I can remember a mode in Madden (not sure if it still does it) where you could actually chose one of the top real life rookies and play them through their career. Another year had a full blown story mode for your "rookie" although the only customizable thing was their position I believe, but it had cutscenes and voice acting. I keep seeing youtube videos of the NBA games where you can go and play jokes on your teammates. Here you get an occasional phone call from an extremely wooden agent, with pretty much the same default options of 1. I'm good 2. Trade me 3. Change positions. Just no real flavor, although I did like the minor league announcer's comments.
The franchise really seems to be phasing out some of the modes, like RttS and especially MtO. I'm guessing there won't be MtO next year since it's a complete afterthought here, and RttS seems to have the same trajectory.

@Precisionist99_XBL ya the NBA 2K has a lot more originality and frequency of cutscenes. It’s just kinda gives it an impersonal feel. I wish they’d put more into RTTS like they do diamond league
