Corrupted save file on both my RTTS players
-
Was just playing 1 of my 2 RTTS players the day before yesterday. Today (Monday 6-30-25) says “cannot load the saved data because it is corrupted” am I alone here? And how do I fix it? I had a #2 pick and was crushing 15 games into the minors lol

This hasn't happened to me yet, but I've seen it mentioned by a few others on this forum - no one has ever mentioned how to fix the issue.
If this is going to continue to be a problem, then I'm going to have to treat RTTS like other RPGs and use multiple save files (alternating between them) so that I don't lose too much progress when things go bad.
Which would mean that we need to get SDS to increase the save file limit.
I like to have a couple of different types of RTTS careers going, and a hard limit of 10 files isn't really enough if I have to start keeping backups. -
@modad_MLBTS ya I had 3 files. 2 from my 2 way player (I’m new to the show as a whole as in my first baseball game since MVP 2005) so I didn’t know how to safely overwrite files yet; and another for my center fielder that I was just wrecking with

It happened to me in MLB 24 but not in 25 yet
. Some other players have said if you disable auto save and save manually it will stop it. I haven’t done that so I can’t speak on if it works or not. You can try, but that’s all I’ve heard will help to avoid it happening.

I'm having the same issues one of my RTTS players files is corrupted, I tried to do a restore from the cloud, but that is corrupted as well, any suggestions? MLB 24

I suspect this happens for less than one percent of RTTS gamers. The solution has been offered here for many years -- regularly create manual save files of your game progress. The automatic save merely overwrites the same file. So, if that save operation ever corrupts, there will be no true backup to revert to.
To have a revert option, you have to save manually, which will create a new save file. There are about 15 file slots to save game progress to. Once you use them up, future saves will have to overwrite a previous manual save file. The best practice is to save over the oldest file, which is easy to find as the files are ordered sequentially, with the oldest save at the bottom of the list.

This is not an either/or option. You can easily do both. Keep autosave and use it until there is a file corruption issue, which odds are you won't encounter ever. However, regularly make manual saves of your game progress as I detailed in my other post in this thread.
