Outfielders Locking on Wrong

Anyone had the issue where they're outfielder locks on wrong and just doesn't move even when you tell them to, and they're not in the right position and the ball just drops next to them? Like its one thing if the outfielder doesn't lock on at all, but I've had times when my outfielder locks on but they in the wrong position and I can't force them to move to the ball.

Yep, had this happen a few times. The outfielder just stands there and won't move. A couple times I had to wait for another outfielder to get to the ball.
I just figure the guy who can't move is so disappointed in themselves for not making the routine play and is contemplating retirement.

been happening to me since the latest patch, honestly wasn't experiencing any fielding issues at all up until the latest patch. Game just feels off now.

No not this issue, my player moves fine after the ball drops, its just that they act like they're right under the ball and then the ball drops 5 feet away from them, and I can't force them to move.

Yes I’ve also had a few times where my OF has decided to lock on and attempt the catch, Well away from the actual path of the ball
my OF always can move after their ugly reaching animation as well -
