I keep getting the meter and the ball
always seems to land in a grab-able position, but I just don’t know how the meter works. The arrow usually gets to the green before i’m even close to the wall and then it makes me jump early. Do I have to press a button like in the showtime moments to activate it or do i just eyeball when i’m supposed to press jump?

@bsanders207966_XBL My understanding is if you stop in the green, it will adjust the timing accordingly. I seem to be lined up and then get moved slightly off one side or the other.

The meter was changed significantly in how it works in MLB 25. So, any research you do for inputs using earlier versions of the game will not help.

The way it is modeled in MLB 25 is easier. You just hit the jump button on your gamepad when the meter arrow is in the green. At that point, the game code takes over and measures your avatar player's defensive attribute level and determines whether the catch can be made or not. If you press the button while still on the run, then you should continue your run to the wall.

Ultimately, to the degree that a play can be made, the odds of you making that play increases as your defensive attribute level increases. In short, the game code decides the outcome.

Ah, so even if you're not at the wall, you hit the button when the arrow is in the green anyway as long as you're like (fairly) close?

I thought about trying that, but I keep defaulting to the old way of doing it that you had to be at the wall and basically stopped to I'm jump correctly.

Boy. They really need to add a way to practice these sorts of edge case plays, huh?
