Non Live Series Player Upgrades?

This is my first time playing Diamond Dynasty. I’ve been at it a couple of weeks when I decided to try out the game. I’m trying to figure out where I want to add players from and I’m wondering if any of the non live series players upgrade during the year? It will help me determine if a player is worth the stub cost longer term. Someone like Randy Johnson is great to have now but will that card increase in overall potentially or would he get a totally new card? Thanks for any clarity as I try to learn how all of this works.

You can upgrade them via parallels (up to 5 levels) by playing with them and earning PXP. I don’t believe non-live series cards change at all outside of that.

Randy Johnson will definitely get a better card or two down the line. You can upgrade the current one by parallels up to 5 levels, but other than that non-live series cards don't get upgrades (or downgrades) like the live series do over the course of the year.

They will also fit all kinds of Captain boosts that will be released later. One of my favorite parts of diamond dynasty.

Thanks for the clarity. I forgot about the parallels. That helps gauge what I want to do as well.
