Hitting is such a inconsistent mess IMO

The event is exposing a of inconsistent gameplay to me. This event is facing common pitchers, commons yet I’m still getting more “good/good” outs in coors of all places. Like these are some mlb 19 the lineout levels of inconsistent hitting. Played two event games and outplayed my opponents to get no hit the first game 7/9 good swings were all outs. And then 2nd game only winning by one by having again majority good swings be outs. But I guarantee next game I’ll play the same and get a victory of 11-2 or something.
-
And sure enough the next game I win 9-1, it’s almost as if you can predict how the game will go.

Hitting online is broke just like the rest of the game with all its bugs.. bats have no pop unless you PP it.. and then it’s just a line out majority of the time

I play mostly offline and hitting is definitely different this year. Gone are the days of playing a vs CPU game in Coors field and putting up 50 hits, 12 Homers, and 20+ extra base hits. I have never seen so many screaming line drives right at someone and perfect perfect can of corn fly outs in my life.
I try and remind myself it's about the process but can't help but feel it's nerfed to prevent blowing through the TA missions. I do get a lot of high fives when I get back to the dugout.....Oddly they didn't nerf pitching so it's a good contrast between the two. I have all the pitching Stat missions done for every team through the first two tiers and almost done with the third tiers yet on half the teams I don't even have the first tier doubles and home runs completed.

@Ledfoot_19_PSN what’s your highest HR leader on team and how many at bats? I have 29 with budget judge P5 tier 3 boost in 469 at bats. Play on rookie, veteran, all star on conquest and mini seasons. But only swing normal and no moving of left stick it throws me off. But sure hit plenty HRs without double perfects. Oh and P5 Mickey coming on strong with 20 in 272 at bats.

Avuna Jr. With 11 HR in 93 AB. He's my only guy in double digits but in fairness I change my line-up a lot

I once hit a ball 105 mph 32 degree launch angle and had it die at the wall at Sutter Health Park

It’s not very good even against the rookie CPU. Really beginning to get tedious to play this year. One of the biggest problems is that the CPU is throwing so many junk pitches now. Last night I kept up with where the pitches were more. I was playing the Rockies on Rookie (grinding team affinity stats). One time in particular, I was never thrown a strike. 10 straight pitches outside the zone, until I finally hit a foul popup. I don’t like drawing walks against the CPU. Rookie CPU needs to be more arcade feeling experience. It used to be that if there was wind blowing out, you’d get a lot of hits and runs. Now, you’re lucky to score 9-10 runs and you’re guaranteed to hit into 4-5 double plays. You hit a ball into the gap all the way to the wall and you’re likely to get thrown out at second, even with decent speed. Pitching is easy; I mostly pitch perfect games or one hitters on rookie. Stealing bases is easy. Hitting just isn’t fun. I’m close to giving the game a long break.

You should try hitting where the fielders aren't

@MetalDoc17_XBL this is how i feel.
There are so many other games to play. Why in the world would i continue to play a game that does not reward good inputs on the lowest difficulty.

It got much worse after the update Tuesday. Seemed fine to me before that. Since the update, no pop in the bats whatsoever.
Edit: Playin all-star the hitting seems fine. Veteran apparently was nerfed.
