I try to keep up with the real life MLB in my franchise.

So say a player finds out he needs season ending injury in the real MLB, what's the best way to mimic that in Franchise?

I was trying to move a player to the IL, but it won't let me since the player in the game was not injured.

What's the best method in franchise to do this?

    Go to User Settings-Gameplay-General-Injuries

Change Injuries to Manual. It will let you give players injuries, anything from 2 days to season ending. After you make the changes you want go change injuries back to ON so that injuries can still occur during gameplay or sim.

i changed the option but i still can't put the player on the IL. I also went to the IL screen and there's no option to add a player.

Do I need to do something else?

btw i already started my season. Does this only work before the season started and you can't do it while in season?

Set the game to manuel injuries- go to injuries on your menu and tap R1 (3rd icon on the top of your screen) That will bring up all the players on your roster. Scroll down to the player you want injured. Select the player you want injured from the injury list and confirm it. Once it goes back to the injured players screen select the injured player and put him on the appropriate injured list. Also, you can remove this injury by going back to injury roster selecting the injured player and selecting "remove injury"

I try to keep up with real life injuries, too. I have found the easiest and most time efficent way is to simply move my injured player to the single A team.

I found another way and it was thru roster control screen. I can move players there and it won't apply any of the franchise rules.

Not sure where you are referencing. In the main roster screen, that is where you make moves and it follows Franchise rules. Can you be more specific?

I Dont remember right now but it was the roster control screen in the menu. it's not the regular roster option when you click on the first icon for your team. It's the roster control where you can change all the teams rosters, not just your teams.

I"ll have to look again but when I did it in roster control it didnt apply any of the franchise rules. I could also move players for other teams to keep up with real life MLB.
