Pitching perks as a 2way player

Hello and thank you for taking a moment to read my post. I have been looking into why i have yet to unlock any pitching perks as a 2 way player,
Is there a reason for this? i did read a post about how as a 2 way its harder becuase some perks require a specific scenerio that you dont get as a 2way. So does that mean if i want to unlock pitching perks i would have to make just a straight up pitcher?
I like playing as a 2 way but if you play just as a pitcher you dont seem to play alot of games so the seasons go by fast
