Your early thoughts on the first "Weekend Classic"

I'm a player who in the past hovered between 500 - 700 in RS. Never made it above the low 700's. I'm not sure what to make of this year. I'm currently in the 500's, and wondering where I should be seeded in the Weekend Classic. I've found that my games in the 500's have been better, while I often get smoked in the 400's. I believe there are a lot of players that tanking to hang out there. Of course I don't have any evidence, but it feels that way.
I know the awards are better the higher you go, but do you think that some "better" players are going to play "down" next weekend?

Wouldn't matter if they did, weekend classic placement is based on your highest ranking

I have had games where I'm getting crushed and my opponent will quit. I'll guess that they're "playing down".

I had that happen once in maybe 30 games. I wasn't getting crushed, but losing, and they just up and quit.

Maybe that's what they are trying and they don't know either

They could just be playing to do missions. I played the event only to get 5 hits. After I got the 5th hit, I quit out.

Its just boring ranked with different rewards. Its like thinking outside the box while still touching the box. Connections will still be bad & cant get a rewarded hit.
