I thought that was the new motto. The new multiplayer program forces you to not play your way to complete it. I thought the whole point of the multiplayer program was to earn progress doing what you wanted. Guess not. They must need people to play br and events so they put that in the program.
They should’ve just left it how it was with the br program and the event rewards and added the multiplayer program without taking out other things.

They also have the main reward before the end of the track.
Ill ignore the BR one and the live series one and be able to get Bautista

FFS you can still get the reward without touching those 2 missions. Theres gotta be something for the people who actually wanna complete the program. This isnt Burger King. You cant have everything your way.

I haven't touched br and just played ranked and events. I've liked br in the past but it's not something I've missed playing this year.
Only thing is like strikeouts in events with all Pitchers having like 65 k/9 is a daunting task

Its weird, ive looked at the main page...ive seen all the live streams and trailers. They dont have this motto posted anywhere. They may have said it once or twice during a livestream alluding to the fact that there were choices to make in RTTS regarding school choice and whether or not you wanted to enter the draft early, upgrading attributes that you wanted to upgrade, and repeatable pxp missions in some DD programs for people who didnt wanna do moments and stuff but thats literally not the motto of the game.

The only reason. It is beyond reasonable for people to then complain that they’ve immediately walked back on that sole reason by putting mode-specific missions in order to complete it.

You get the MAIN reward. Thats literally the most important part of the program. If you want the free packs, compromise and do the missions for them. Simple.

You really don’t have to come on the forums and attack people for being upset at a corporation the size of Sony intentionally misleading them when being honest would have been easy. It’s simple. You can just do something productive with your time instead.

This is easily, without question, the least "play your way" year since 2018. If you want to play anything other than DQ or whichever MP mode they want you to play today, well then too bad. No repeatable conquest maps. Any (real) reason to play March To October removed. Any (real) reason to play events or BR removed (until apparently today, and now they trying to force you. Not better.). Most of the repeatable goals in Mini Seasons take multiple seasons to complete. Hell, they even removed the repeatable PXP missions from TA, while going back to the full 30 teams. For that matter, they removed ANY PXP missions from TA, other than for the TA reward cards themselves. I like a lot of what they've done, but I can't stand how they are trying to force people to play the modes they want them to play instead of just letting them play the game the way they prefer.

Not really sure why you’re defending them so hard. On the “fielding feedback: diamond dynasty” video 2:47 into the video they say play your way to earn rewards when talking about the multiplayer program. I found it for you incase you wanted to watch that. It’s ok to make mistakes but let’s not blindly defend them.

And saying something once or twice in a video doesnt make it the official motto of the game. As i said, you can get the main rewards without playing events but theres gotta be something for people that DO wanna play events.
It has nothing to do with defending anything. Im just not dumb enough to be "misled" by something thats not misleading in the first place. Whats next? Are you gonna complain that they dont just give us all the cards in the xp path without playing so we can add those cards to a team and "play how you want"?
What about people that dont wanna play online all the time? I play online maybe once or twice a week and yet im not here crying that i cant get the online rewards "playing my way".

You can't get every card in the game unless you play different game modes; get over it. Literally every other game works that way, as they should.
You are always free to play your own way. You are not required to obtain everything.

Personally I think they should’ve left events and br how they were and just added the multiplayer program on top of them. That’s what this post is about so not sure why we’re talking about the xp path. I’m sorry I was mislead when they said those exact words didn’t realize I have to be skeptical every time they say something.

Where did I say give me every single card in the game? All I said was the multiplayer program should be able to be completed how you want playing what you want.

Once again, they said those exact words in regards to getting the main rewards in a program. And it was an offline program when they said it. For people who didnt wanna do moments or do the ridiculous stat grinds, they could earn rewards with repeatable pxp missions. They never once said during the online program stream that you could get all the rewards without a stat grind or without playing any other online mode.
So your problem was being misled over something stated in the offline DD stream and applying it to the multiplayer stream.

@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN I am guessing you are not a very good player even remotely. A competitive player would understand this. Especially since events literally give you an 85-87 if you win 10 games before 2 losses, which I am willing to bet you are not good enough to ever do that.
It’s very simple to understand. The term play your way means I can pick whether I want to play BR, ranked, or events to get the rewards on the multiplayer XP path. I can’t. I HAVE to play both BR and events in order to get the 50 pack bundle. Making it like this made is way less effort for SDS.
You are trying to say a company say something doesn’t mean they said it or meant it. You realize a company can get sued for saying something (obviously depending on the severity) and not doing it right? I can give many examples if you need… what do you think false advertising is?
