Real photos (Depth Chart)

Now Im worried. 2nd roster update and they wont update the portraits. MLB the show can't be this lazy. It's very frustrating to open the Depth Chart and see all the players in rendered images

@Mr_Helison_PSN pretty sure they did it on purpose. They're not gonna be real pictures if you trade them or they sign elsewhere so its just better to have them all the same

@Mr_Helison_PSN of course they didn’t do anything. I think the franchise mode and the realistic baseball game is a wash now. They only cater to DD players who want to play some stupid card game. They won’t get pictures until they do face scans and they’re so bad at face scans who knows when or if they’ll even be added. Tyler holton, Tyler Fitzgerald, Jose Soriano should’ve been added last year in 24 but when they weren’t even in 25 I knew it was over for the franchise players. I have a complete list of everyone they missed on the forum

@Mr_Helison_PSN it wasn’t a roster update. They still have Nolan jones on the Rockies etc…. Probably just an update fixing bugs

Renders w proper uniforms look better than having real pics , w players wearing diff team uniforms imo. And we play we cpu animated players anyway, not real players. So I'd rather have the face scan photo than a real photo so it looks like the guy I'm playing w

If they did a roster update, then why they don't have all the players on the rosters? Ian Anderson is not on the Angles and he has played in a game.

Personally I prefer the way they did it this year because of the reason you mentioned.
I really dislike seeing rendered images of guys I traded for and on the same screen see the pictures/non-rendered images of guys that were on my team originally. It’s really off putting in the middle of the game when you’re seeing the up coming hitters graphic of next half inning.
Or it will show the lineup with 7 pictures and two rendered images… it looks stupid. Might as well make it all the same.
It’s not laziness here, it’s by design. Although I understand the assumption that they are being lazy lol

I don’t know why but seems to be a nice glitch in the game too, a simple name like “Caleb Durbin” … won’t announce or acknowledge his name so even when I go to edit player and literally switch the audio to say his name it still resorts to saying his number and position, not surprised with SDS

The can't even announce Dwight Gooden's name.
