Slider claims

I don't understand what everyone is talking about when they say the game changes the sliders based on who's winning and losing games. I've played this game for many years and have both won many games by a lot of runs and lost many games by a lot of runs. Not once have I attributed any potential comebacks to the sliders changing and I've never seen a reason to. It is usually because I am understanding what pitch sequences my opponents are using or being lazy with my pitches. My hitting ability hasn't changed mid game ever, and I was never getting more good timing or bad timing hits than the other player either. I think people just believe they are way better than they actually are, or at least way less predictable than they are. I have never had a problem, nor has anyone I know, with ranked and yet I somehow see a comment on every post complaining. I don't get it.

it's an easy way to cope with blowing a game

Things that can happen to lose a big lead.
1, other player learns your tendencies and adjusts.
2, you lose focus .
3 pitcher gets tired .
4 other player finally starts to focus.
5 other player's older brother takes the controller. -
You don't understand the assertion because the assertion itself is utter nonsense. The sliders are not there for the game code itself to automatically manipulate. Such an assertion is ridiculous on the face of it.
But, I think what annoys me the most about the people launching into these absolutist criticisms is the reality that those who harbor such legitimate views likely have not manipulated the slider difficulties to tailor the game to what they say they want in it.
In truth, the sliders have to be set up before any game starts, and cannot be changed in the middle of a game. But, perhaps more to the point, even if that option existed, for anyone to use it just shows said person to have no desire to compete in a fair environment, but simply wants to cheat for the purpose of what would then be empty digital rewards devoid of any actual value.
I mean the ONLY value one can get out of this game is the joy of playing it, and that includes games versus the CPU, private leagues, and online competition. Doing things to ruin that joy just shows people who fail to comprehend the meaning of life.

@noahkb2005_PSN
In all fairness, video games are the highest-grossing forms of entertainment and have been for a while. Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment has been well documented in FPS games for a while, so it wouldn't shock me, purely from a financial standpoint, for sports games to also use DDA to a lesser degree to increase revenue through player engagement. -
@Jacob151167_XBL Isn't that the entire point of the ranking system already in the game? I get that there will be games with unfair matchups, especially early in seasons, but for the majority of the time it should be even.

5 other player's older brother takes the controller.- Other player's initial stupor after partaking during the loading screen begins to wane and he starts lighting you up in the 6th.
