2nd Inning Showdown

Fun, just as much a pain in the [censored] as last month for me so far. Difficulty needs to be the same across ALL modes. None of this hidden difficulty stuff in moments and showdown, and completely different then vs. CPU or online, it's a dumb decision, and somebody needs to be replaced for thinking this wasn't dumb.
I hate how much of DD is designed for only the hardcore fanbase to enjoy. I love the collecting and playing, but as a below average player trying to improve, forcing us into stupid modes to get PP this way is lame.

That’s issue with gaming in general today. Everything is heavily criticized from both aspects. You have casuals who aren’t able to complete things and then the hardcore who complain about there not being enough to do.

Starting my 9th attempt. Lord help me.

That’s why I’d prefer a sliding scale for missions and moments and such and therefore rewards and some missions should be off or online.

I usually struggle on showdowns but dominated this one. Pure luck maybe.
Completed every challenge, went into final boss 15-15 and it was Alex Wood. My entire lineup was righty power hitters. I didn't even need a single out. First pitch, homerun Stanton... Done -

I honestly think that's the best medium ground. Let the player choose the difficulty so the tryhards can turn it up but the rest of us have a chance to complete things, even if it requires more clears then the better players.

DoneI got to final boss Giles, but I swear every 99mpg FB that came in came in at different speeds based on my reactions. Lost 11-15 and haven't come close to getting to him again since. I keep getting way to many right handed hitters and never a lefty to play against. Feel like the player pool you can choose from is way to small this inning

People hate on me when I say it but I can acquire a better team quicker in Madden because I can play on difficulties I want per mission. I still have tons of coins and training points and team ranked higher than ever for me in madden

Honestly I think this has nothing to do with difficulty choice and more to do with how much offline content Madden provides. The Show has improved it's offline content but it's still miles behind Madden and even a few yards behind 2k
-
I could agree with you there too... too many mlb missions must be completed online I had to buy because I had no choice didn’t want to
Difficulty choice may help too for some but agree what u said

I've never seen the challenge were you got 13 outs to score one run.
That would be lovely! On my sixth attempt now and still haven't come across that oneI never saw it either. First mini boss was score 4 runs with bases loaded. Second was score 4 runs with 13 outs.
I just came across it. Unbelievable. Second mini boss, needing only 1 run with 13 outs. Pitcher was Pierce. I reckon that's a mistake they will fix up soon. I'm sure they will start it at 3-0 like all the others.

I miss the days when sports game devs actually cared about putting out a product that the masses could enjoy and not just the top 10% of the playerbase. I'm old, have bad eyes and hands so alot of these modes are beyond frustrating, and directional is not a good option because well it sucks, only useful if you get a pitch over the heart, which offline never happens.
This game has teh potential to be great, but it has devs that don't seem to care about it being accessible for all. That or they are just too busy looking up prospects to sell in their stupid packs. This whole inning has been a major disappointment for me. I hoped they'd look at the feedback to Showdown, and not just look at the people who farmed it.
Moments? Still only the few points for Kaline....which is a terrible card and his program moments are also turned up way more then it says it is.
It's the fact that no matter what the difficulty says, it's whatever they put under the hood. No way these showdown games are rookie and veteran with pitchers hitting 99 consistently and painting corners with no stamina.

Starting my 10th attempt
Went into that one 15-10 against price. WTF is wrong with me, I cannot get 6 runs with 20 outs.
Not the game, its me. I'm going insane here -
I failed. Went for it straight up. Lost 12 to 15 but I literally had 14 out that were either perfect perfect or good squared up and the fielder moved a max of 3 steps. 80% hits off perfect perfects is hot horse [censored] to me. Lol

I did it my second try. I faced feller down 15-9. My first 10 outs I didn’t get one hit lol. After that I hit a 2 run homer with Torres, 3 run hr, and walk off grand slam with Stanton. It wasn’t too bad once I got used to hitting feller

Same in 2k. The packs are FAR more rewarding as well. Wish the show had more offline content to grind
-
Yeah, I read earlier about how easy this one should be. When I played, it felt about like the others, which I’ve had very limited success with. Got to Feller as final boss on my first try and couldn’t get anything on him. Couldn’t time the 99 and then the follow-up curve. I think I scored two runs when I needed 9.
My second run I got Alex Wood at the second boss and think I got a total of two hits. Ridiculous. The RNG was heavy tonight.
I gave up after that.
-
Just beat it - went into final boss vs feller down 15-7 and won 17-15 with 15 outs left, homeruns by mickie mantle and hanram both 3 run bombs helped a lot
-
My second mini boss I only had to score one run
