Plate Vision
-
Plate vision only helps with fouling off pitches. I think it would be great if plate vision added a small blip to the ball as it is coming in. A red dot for a known pitch out of the zone, a yellow dot for a close/borderline pitch, and a green dot for a known pitch in the strike zone. The dots would vary in accuracy and how early after release they show up. For instance, if the batter has a low plate vision stat, he'd only really see a dot for bad and good pitches, fairly late in path to the plate and yellow would have a wider margin for error. As vision increases, the batter would see the dot earlier and the margin of error would be smaller for the close pitches. This simulates the real world batters who can read pitches very well vs. those who are free swingers...

I kinda like this idea. I feel like everyone would be super early on green dots for while, but could be a fun tool.

This is an interesting idea, but I feel like this would be an unwelcome distraction for players like me who's eyes are extremely light-sensitive. I feel like I would be swinging at the color; and not the location of where the ball is being pitched, causing me to be a lot worse at this game. The color would have to be darker and would have to fade after every pitch in order for it to be a teaching lesson for me. In addition, not to go entirely off subject, but to deviate slightly from it, would you employ the same tutorial for pitchers against hitters? They both use the same plate, but in opposite directions. Just a thought to wrap your mind around.

So you want more home runs than we already have?
I'm not opposed to this but all it would do is make the meta swing heavily in favor of high vision high power.
Without this feature the games are already 9 inning home run derbies. I can only imagine the nightmare playing in 700+ rated games. Pitchers would never be good and they struggle horribly right now as it is. Dotting perfect pitches already doesn't mean a [censored] thing as players are already so good they don't need a reticle telling them where to hit the ball. You'd never get a pitch across the plate. not to mention the fact players are so good they will take perfect dotted pitches and they get called balls because of batter statistics and the umpire not giving the call to the pitcher.
Again, not saying it's a bad idea but it would absolutely decimate pitchers in an already batter's meta. I could only be on board with such a change if they nerfed another hitting stat or severely buffed pitcher stats. -
@xsdert34_PSN I think this would probably be best for the timing or direction interface. Of course you could turn it off.

@AdeptOfMemory_PSN I hear you on the pitcher aspect. What if contact was a bit more random or the PCI needed to be more precise? Maybe even a smaller margin for error? For instance, the "dot" would vary in size based on the vision attribute. Larger for low vision, meaning the batter knows it will be in an area or quadrant, but not exactly and even with 100 vision, it would never be pinpoint perfect. I mean even the very best MLB hitters don't always hit pitches right on the screws, even the grooved pitches. There are a lot of factors that can be incorporated into the mechanics. Plate discipline, clutch, etc.
