Of the bossesSDS would never make joe carter a boss, that’s ridiculous, he wasn’t good enough.
Oh wait...
Oh no...These truly are dark times.
He did hit possibly one of coolest most hype homers ever...

Last boss is Vet HanRam from 2013. Where he played only 86 games might as well have his clevend card from last year.
Really he should be breakout 2008

A Florida Marlins HanRam?
That is the only version that counts
No Bias

Nope 2013 vet 92 overall had his highest batting average that year but only play in 86 games. It should be the 2008 or 2009 version

I was hoping for 2009
151 Games
.342 Batting Avg (Lead League)
.342/.410./543
7.4 WAR (Career High)
148 OPS+ (I love this stat)
and finished #2 in MVP voting (to some dude in St. Louis, who is really good;) ) -

.342 Batting Avg (Lead League)
.342/.410./543
7.4 WAR (Career High)
148 OPS+ (I love this stat)

So did I, I edited my post to reflect that.
These 2nd inning bosses leave alot to be desired.
Compared to last year (98 OVR MadBum), it is a big drop off. These 2nd inning bosses will not last long on most teams. -
Will they at least have a prestige to a blood diamond version like the first ones?

I’m aware.. but we can’t change/decide that now.. I’m just curious if we’ll be able to grind a better version of the boss we choose or if it’s just gonna be a fire sale as soon you get them.

I'd say that's certainly good enough for a prime card and early boss, despite the fact that he's not an all-time great.
He also only had an average 117 wRC+ during those 3 years, which is nothing special.

His career wRC+ is 102, almost the definition of an average player.

Don’t hate joe carter, he just happens to be a prime example of a player that wasn’t very good but people will stubbornly say was good.

Fair enough. He was never amazing. But he did have plenty of good years. I just noticed that you've been pretty adamant about Joe Carter being overrated on these forums, that's why I asked.

I know. The OPS is also good-but-not-great. The point is that during his prime he was a good player who was highly valued and helped his team win. No-one argues that he's comparable to Ted Williams, Babe Ruth and Stan Musial. He's in the Jimmy Rollins, Alex Gordon, Pablo Sandoval etc. kind of category. Good players on championship teams.
(And the fact that everyone knows that 1 homerun helps a lot) -

Don’t mind drivebytrucker, he hates Carter so much I suspect he’s her mom’s baby mama but never talked to him and she never got child support

Jack,
I was thinking the same thing, then I went to his baseball-reference page.
OMG, his numbers are VERY average. My memories of him do not line up with his numbers.A Career WAR of 19.6
An OPS+ of 105 for his career.
A career slash line of .259/.306/.464If you just look at the numbers and forget the Mitch Williams HR, the dude was average. I originally thought he was a good, perennial All Star, but he wasn't even that. He made the All Star team 5 times.
DrivebyTrucker is correct on this one.
