Never mind I actually completed it, the 1st showdown completed since the beginning of last year, it is very long but all games are on veteran difficulty and there are a couple common pitchers that you face like Tom Glavin

Took me about 20 Mims. Hardest part was Gibson. Potch speed seemed faster than Veteran.

Weird program to have a showdown for. Its a single player, not even a pitcher you could face as a boss

Definitely agree with you about Gibson, I had to resort to contact swing instead of normal because all I was doing was swinging and missing

That Showdown felt oddly easy, almost as simple as the HR Derby one. Agree with the poster who mentioned Gibsons speed changes but I only needed the 2 runs and blasted 2 solo shots in no time. Just stay away from his higher fastballs, all fly outs.

Agreed, easily the easiest Showdown I have done this year. Took some time since there were so many bosses but didn't have to sweat any of them out down to the last few outs.

I really wish showdown awarded pxp. I largely avoid it because I feel its so detached from the rest of the mode because of this.
That and the all or nothing of it is terrible game design considering these can take an hour to do. And the tutorial is not at all representative of the mode
