The game is more fluky as the higher the difficulty
-
I noticed there are just so many flukey hits on the higher difficulties. It's harder to make solid contact so you'll get like 3-4 hits in a row against you that should just never be hits. I won 5-4 last game and 3 of them came from a homerun after a cutter inside that shouldn't even ever be touched if you are late and it bloops in behind 3rd, then another cutter low and away somehow doesn't get rolled over but instead bloops in pullside as a hit. Not only that, but the hitting is harder, but at the same time just results in the most rng when the ball is actually in the zone. What ever happened to the top dot being a perfect flyball for power hitters? This year it just results in a weak flyball when in previous years it would be 450 to center. I also don't understand why the zone just randomly shrinks to the size of a pea, making it even more rng. You could literally have the ball on the dot on legend and it will be a weak 88 mph liner. None of it makes sense this year. Allstar is homerun derby, but at least when you get a great zone it's usually great contact. I've played every mlb the show ever made I'm pretty sure and the higher difficulty feels more random than any other year I've played.
