    @JayJonez187 It’s the same stale mode without ties to DD. They’ve gutted xp out of the mode besides gameplay xp. You can earn diamond equipment which isn’t worth as much as in years past at this point in the game. Unless you enjoy playing it, don’t waste your time.

    Thanks I definitely won't be starting it ...I've never understood how come they haven't done stuff like 2k where it was interactive and walk around the clubhouse and walk into the managers office ...little things like that is what makes nba 2k my career so good ...maybe next year they will do something cool

    @JayJonez187 I agree. If they treated it like a free roam RPG that would be kinda sweet.
    SDS isn't really a game developer I think. And I'm not trying to attack them on this but I really don't think they know how to make a video game but rather a simulator with some pizzazz.

    If you could take RPG elements into a sports game you could get a really cool result. I also think SDS should take notes from card games because in a way The Show is a deck building game like magic the gathering or hearthstone. You're collecting cards grade on a scale of rarities from common to diamond much like common to mythic. You combine the cards to have unique outputs and gameplay that would differ in any other type of card combinations. And you're dealing with a consumer controlled marketplace for those cards. It's all great on paper to me but in practice it's lacking greatly.

    @AdeptOfMemory What drives me crazy is they say they removed it from DD so they could do other things that wouldn’t fit with DD, but then didn’t change a [censored] thing. For future updates they say. Ramone complains about a short development cycle. Maybe they need a biannual release with seasons or something then because updates to this game are severely lacking, especially this year.

    @GoozeFn Absolutely.
    I played this franchise, like many of us, since the PS2. It's no where NEAR the same game anymore but that's not a complaint. Took quite a break and played other games and things. Came back in 23 for my first time playing it online. I got it for Christmas so I came in super late so the grind was interesting and frustrating. Ultimately had a great time aside the very few gameplay issues I had. Entirely PvP by the way.
    This one? Giant fart noises with leaky sound at the end

    @AdeptOfMemory Last year would have been good with a power creep. This year is a disaster.

    I like it. I don't play DD, just RTTS & Franchise. A season can go fast because you play the whole series without having to jump out to save, Franchise you play one ata time. I play every game in minors. I like the play, catcher was really updated. Announcers get old real quick. I play usually 2 seasons every game. Going for the awards & titles. Then I usually only play the first game of a series unless it's a good one for me. Mariners verses Blue Jays:) CONS: Talking to agent for a trade is rough. Your team will make really dumb trades and that might ruin the play for you, even with the trades slider down. Yes, I wish I could carry over a player to the next years game. PRO: After you grind out say a catcher, you can carry over your skills/rewards to the new player. This allows you to jump to say 75-80 overall and get through the minors faster, even just simulating games until called up. The. I turn off the skill levels if I want and play lower skill sets, better for competition.

    You have to make your own fun in RTTS because it gets stale real fast otherwise. If you're expecting an engaging narrative or any surprises, RTTS isn't that kind of game mode. If you're willing to challenge yourself as a hitter and adjust the sliders and difficulty to see how hard you can make the game and still hit like .380, then it can be really fun. I only hit now in RTTS. No pitching, no defense, and no base running when my teammates are hitting. I think the hitting against the CPU pitching aspect of MLB The Show has consistently been the best PVE thing in sports video games for a while, so I maximize my enjoyment of RTTS by only engaging with the hitting.
