The worst weekend for double XP?

The double xp is a joke in itself because it’s like normal xp from last year, maybe still slightly worse. Gatekeeping content is ridiculous since 99% of players don’t care how fast others gain xp in the game.

Also, they just reset everyone’s rating. So guys like me who are constantly around 500-600 are going to be forced to play guys coming from WS and higher. I hate this game.

@TripleH-4481 It’s literally normal XP from 23. They cut XP earn rate by 50% this year and reduced the daily cap from 60,000 to 15,000. On double XP right now, they double the XP earn rate (so 50% x 2 = 100%, so last year’s) and they quadruple the cap from 15,000 to 60,000 (again, last year’s).
The double XP, team affinity, ranked, events, and BR all lining up with Mother’s Day is because of when launch was. They planned 12 week seasons broken into 3 chunks of 4 weeks for ranked, BR, and team affinity. They then also planned events to be 2 week intervals which means each “chunk” has two events, where the first of the two launches at the same time as everything else. This causes the massive amount of content dumped at once and then large gaps with little else other than new packs to buy. It just happens that a large dump happened on Mother’s Day weekend. They almost certainly didn’t plan launch and all content around a day that isn’t a statutory holiday. It just happened to work out that way.

Weather they did knowingly or not. The best way to solve the entire issue is take away the XP cap. Period. I want to play my way not the way they make us play

Even double xp isn’t quite regular xp from previous games which says a lot about this year.

SDS knew what they were doing & here is why…You know who’s grinding on Mother’s Day? Kids…Not Dads…Kids. And the majority of kids are NMS. Dads on the other hand are more likely to be spenders. So by not being able to benefit from double XP they will be forced to spend or accept they aren’t getting all the bosses.

my kid's spend way more on content than I do. matter of fact, I spend zero after purchase proudly. while my kids regularly hit me up for vbucks and have no concept of the value those $20 into virtual currency actually means, as they don't work yet.
I get what your saying though..one year, as an adult, fully into adult beverages and bad choices, I spent like waaaay too much because it was my money and I could.

I played more this weekend than any other weekend this year except the petals weekend (I happened to be on break that weekend).
I apologized to my wife yesterday for the absurd amount of time I was going to be on the game yesterday and today.
We still celebrated this morning with my family.
I’m not sure what all everyone else does from 2:00 pm Friday to 2:00 am Monday for Mother’s Day that seems to indicate you can’t celebrate Mother’s Day and capitalize on double XP.

I HAVE to assume this is sarcasm. Because the list of life-affirming things to do on a beautiful holiday weekend if you work Friday and Monday -- not even saying if you have kids or other events planned -- is too long to even mention...

That's [censored] gross. I'm so glad I've abandoned this game (but not the boards, lol!).
One Conquest game this weekend was all I could stomach, and I felt smarmy even after that....

3pm EST is that not the case anymore ?
