The “we are monitoring numbers” has me worried about the future of this game.
That doesn't actually worry me. SDS does a good job of making changes, they just goofed this time. They assumed hitting was too easy, but everyone was still playing on veteran difficulty. The should have at least waited until someone reached WS before making such drastic changes.
I honestly believe it's a lag issue with servers. My buddy and I played each other tonight. We only threw fastballs down the middle. We had to swing as soon as the ball left the pitchers hand to have good timing, on all-star....

I just got sent home from work today at 11am saying dont plan on coming back until Monday. Multiple you know what cases have come out of my workplace the past week. When they told us we will still get paid I felt a brief moment of excitement along with everyone else. Then wondered, but at what possible cost. Sorry if I am fine with the game plays right now. I am home doing nothing but touching my face and slowly closing my eyes every few moments hoping not to feel extra warmth.
We are all there with you bud. I'm normally very cool headed, I've seen a lot of shi* in my time on this rock, but good grief. The stories coming out about this virus. One day at a time. Attention to small detail. Be building up your immune system. We will get through this. But I do not know what's on the other side of this thing. I have a feeling that life may be a little different going forward.

Yeah, not sure how 3 days of numbers (from the pre order guys) justifies what they did. Let the game release for everyone else, monitor your numbers for a week at least, then do what you gotta do.
And let us know WHY would be appreciated.

We all paid for a product that worked at launch and was marketed as being fixed from last year. after pre-launch weekend the game was totally changed! So everybody that didn't pre-order it and watched videos on YouTube seeing how awesome the hitting was, they were totally duped into buying the game which was then changed. How is this not a reason to complain?

Nah, a crappy attitude to have is to blame literally everything that doesn’t go your way on the game. I have a LARGE sample size from this year’s game as well as the last four games. So whenever I hear y’all whine about how the game is scripted and screwed y’all and takes no skill and completely up to luck, I just rolled my eyes. Because I’ve been consistently wrecking people online for five years. We are all playing the same game. If something doesn’t go your way, just move on like the rest of us..

I’m sorry but I would like SDS to see this stuff in hopes of them caring enough to make improvements.

The game definatly has an element of the AI controling outcomes, especially in the 9th inning and extra innings. If you haven't experienced it then good for you but doesn't mean that its not an element affecting the game. I believe that it is a much more prevalent occurrence in the lower divisons because they want close games for newer players. Hard to attract new players if they are getting destroyed every game. They won't put forth the effort if they see no chance theyll ever be competitive. As you move up in level thats no longer and issue since most of the players are veteran players. It's been in every game it's just poorly tuned in this poorly tuned overall version of the game. I think they will eventually get it in a much better balance overall. Be well!

With them going multi platform next year I’m curious to see what the gameplay will be like with them trying to hook new players to keep playing and coming back in future years.

The problem is so many people send in feed back or just complain, SDS can not please everyone who plays this game. Examples, Pitch speeds to fast, Pitch speeds not Fast enough. Pitching is not give the black yes I sent feed back on this one. Hitting is broken, Timing window is broken. The debate, Directional should not be allowed online, Analog is better than Zone. The problem with skill gap. Why do we have to do the Blood Diamonds online. Fielding is bad, Outfielders not locking in on fly balls (I have not had this issues, but that does not mean it does not happen) cut screen or something wrong some times when the 1st Baseman does not cover first but still gets the out it is usually when he is playing in. Think about how many people complain, how much they can really fix with the corona virus going on, They have fixed fielding cause it seems to be better and so does pitching. Hitting I am not that good at and I do not really complain but I see those issues with Good/Good/ Good/OK and Perfect/Perfect only to fly out or not get what you think you should. The list goes on with CQ, Showdown, MTO, Custom leagues, RTTS, Franchise. Should the game get some fixes yes. Will it ever be perfect NO. Having no competition with another Baseball game. Knowing people will buy the show. Overall the game is a great game with some issues mostly online. I have learned to adapt and enjoy the game for what it is. That does not mean I settle and say nothing. I have sent more feed back reports for this game than any other the show game. Some of you just need to vent and this seems to be the place to do. I think sometimes people take what others say out of context as complaining.

That’s exactly what I’m doing...venting. I ain’t shy or scared to post the shady stuff. If nobody asked for fixes or showed a video/photo of what’s wrong, you could only imagine how worse this game would be.
I don’t understand why the defenders feel the need to attack the players who are trying to make this game better.
