I wonder why they aren't doing these this year? Feels like they used to do them a lot on Fridays leading up to new content dropping, bummer!

Probably cause they know they’re sellouts and the entire stream chat would just be flaming them the whole time

For the most part "new content" means new packs. Not a lot to talk about with that. They probably could have done one last week with TA, but the entire community was pretty grumpy, so they may not have wanted to deal with it.

They did not do them every week last year either. We are getting a new pack (we already know the cards), the 4th season Awards drop (and we already know those cards) and a lightning player to collect.
Not really enough to base a whole stream around.

Okay so last year they didn't do it either that's interesting (I skipped last year). I just feel like in prior years the definitely did one for the lightning player reveal and program like they are doing today, but idk. Some valid points

This year's launch and direction have been, at best and even for fanboys, mixed bags. For unbiased people, it's been bad. For critical-to-captious consumers (like me), it's been a pathetic trainwreck.
The chat would be absolutely firebombed. And it would be cruel to ask SDS's people to get on stream and shill and "shout out!" when they know reception has been more negative than it's ever been.

Not me. I can't stand the toxic negativity, even if I can understand it. I don't want to purposely seek it out and let it agitate me.
I think, at my age, I have realized it is much more pleasant to remain calm and relaxed than live in a constant state of outrage.
