Loading into games issue

Hello all,
Might be an internet issue but wanted to get confirmation from others, but every time I’m currently loading into a PvP game, game will take a while to load after selecting pitching and batting order and will either crash the system or it will say you “lost connection with your opponent” in game. I’ve tested this in BR and events to see if it was a game mode issue and doesn’t seem to be since it’s happening in both and occurred 5 times in a row (3 BR and 2 events). Playing on switch as well in case that maybe a possible issue. I appreciate any responses/ advice in advance!
