What Pitching setting input do you use online?
-
Just curious to see how many people use Pinpoint/Analog ONLINE vs any other pitching input.
The reason for this is due to pitching accuracy being atrocious this year moreso than any other year.
Lately, I've been taking notes the last 5 games played in ranked online.
I use meter bc I'm left handed and my right thumb can't draw perfect circles and lines.
Also, I've been using meter since day 1, and know how to pitch.... (Or at least I did before this year)Once I hit 600 in ranked, the players get a little better in taking pitches and with their swings. It's pretty important to hit your spots against better opponents.
The last 5 games, I averaged around 60% of my pitches being accurate of where I want them to go.
On good and perfect releases, the ball still has a 40% chance of going 6 inches to 2 feet away from where I'm aiming. THIS IS BEYOND UNACCEPTABLE!
Even fastball, which usually yield the highest control stat! I hit 2-3 batters a game on perfect/good releases on balls meant to jam hitters. UNACCEPTABLE!The control gets even worse on HOF. Of course the speed is faster, but the input accuracy is worse.
Why is this acceptable? Why does SDS focus on Pinpoint and analog as being the "most accurate" pitching input?? When I'm about to pitch the ball, and it shows where the ball will go ok good/perfect releases, Why is the accuracy at 60%??????? SDS? CARE TO FK'N COMMENT??
I watched a friend play on this account today. He's also a meter pitcher. I analyzed every pitch and made notes of the accuracy percent rate.
He missed his spot more than me.
On good and perfect releases, he was accurate 57% of the time to 43% off. Most were either balls, hit batsmen, and balls that went almost down the middle.
He told me, this year is the worst with accuracy. It's so bad for him, he has no desire to play online. Who would blame him?
Anyway, I'd love for ppl who are ranked at least 500+ that don't use pinpoint/analog to say what they use and actually test how overall accuracy of each pitch. I'm very curious to see some of the results.
For offline gamers, do the same thing against the cpu on allstar and see what your accuracy rate is with each pitch.
We need pitching to be more accurate.
We DON'T NEED more 40k PHICKING PACKS IN THE STORE! -
I used meter since it first came out til about 4 years ago, then i started noticing what you were referencing.
I then switched to pulse. Used that the last 4 years with better results. But this year it is worse than I have ever seen. Also realize that different pitchers are better with pulse than meter and vice versa.
Also each event is different. My friend and I are both very good. But the ones I finish better are when pulse is programmed better, and when he is better than me i switch back to meter and do better right away.Just some feedback

I still use Metter and have a 13 and 7 record.

I use Classic for online play. It’s the only competitive option. Grip it and rip it. Sounds like even pinpoint users have issues, at least with Classic you can tap or hold a button and be in the same shape.
Bonus for Classic is you can take a sip of water while throwing instead of goofing up a diagram.
I also use Timing hitting. It’s the most relaxing way to play the game. I lose like a lot but who cares, it’s carefree and dumb fun
