XP Grind

But is it REALLY an issue? Do you have nothing else in the game you can work towards? Parallels? Packs?
The fact that people feel negatively about it, even irrationally, is of course reason enough why SDS should consider changes and Its extremely likely they are but its almost certain we wont see anything until season 2.
But to me its like a 3 out of 10 on the issues whereas lack of content and too many packs are both closer to an 8 out of 10 and the quality control issues are a 10 out of 10 (the account unlinking thing in particular)

Ive been playing RTTS yesterday and today with nothing to grind

@Teak2112 What’s the point of parallels when you only get to use them for a couple weeks? Not worth the grind.
-
What about playing to have fun?

100 percent. I think you, much like me, didn’t purchase the game because of the reward path.

YES -- I mean let's take your poor example of Parallels -- Does getting a card paralleled get you any XP outside of what you got from hitting HR's etc --- NO -- so your point hold no water and to be honest silly as heck.
Then you mention packs -- sure I am grinding Mini Seasons for packs and sure its helping my stub count a little ( only 1 Diamond in 80 ish packs ) but again not giving you any extra XP outside of something eating through the XP cap. Both of your points are not good examples ( period ) but you are right if we had more content it would not be as much of an issue but it would still be an issue. Neither of those things are helping the players much on the program XP path.
This next part is not as much you ( Teak ) as to others who want to make excuses for SDS and preach patience ( something I kind of did a week ish ago ) but in reality they have done NOTHING to make us think it's going to change. I mean tomorrow content will prolly be 40 to 50k packs and little else -- woohoo ( SDS you SUCK if this happens ) -
- SDS -- this part is for you -- continue down this path and you might as well just shoot this game in the head cause when NCAA comes out this game will not just take a small dip in players instead it will be D O A -- period -- even if it's a EA game. Right now I have more faith in them not to screw that up then I do in you SDS to turn this game around. -- sad days when this is the case.

To state again, I dont like a daily cap, it should be cumulative in some form. I think they should change it for season 2 because people don't like it, but I also expect a decent chunk of the community will be better off under this system than the old by the time the season is done.
But right now we have seen the first 30 minutes of a 90 minute movie, and so far it is boring. We are jumping to the conclusion that this is the worst movie ever without seeing most of it. if the first 30 minutes sucks there is a fair chance that the next 60 will too, but sometimes things start slow and get better. And the director has already said it is designed to start slow and get better.
I still think the fixation on one form of progression towards three cards is absurd though. Its like everything else, all 397+ other cards in season 1, are invalidated because we wont get these cards until the last month of the season.
But the player base has obviously spoken, and we will find out in season 2 if SDS has listened
